We looked like champs all year. There was a feeling the whole season, that I was too superstitious to acknowledge.

I’d say, after beating Bama

Watching Justin Jefferson and Joe Burrow drag their nuts all over Oklahoma in the 2nd quarter. All that talk about OU's defense and we skull dragged them out of simple formations, purely on talent.

Halftime of the Bama game. If we could take a 20 point lead in Tuscaloosa, then no one could stand in our way.

When we went up 21-17 in the national championship game.

I was sitting next to some Clemson fans at the game who, up to that point, had been pretty pleased with how things were going and they were talking a little trash. I’m not much of a trash talker so I mostly just kept my mouth shut. When Burrow threw that TD to Chase in the second quarter to take the lead, I looked at the Clemson fan to my left and said, “I have some bad news: Our offense is here now and you’re fricked.”

After we beat Bama. Sure we had beaten Bama and lost in a mulligan in 11, but in 11 I can say without regret that we were pretty lucky to win that game. They missed 5 FGs and threw a pick at the goal line and Wing had like a 60-70 yard punt to flip field position. Our D in the championship game held strong but they made their FGs that time around.

But this year? We were up 20 at halftime and made some mistakes to keep the score close but we were without a doubt the better team. After we exorcised that demon I knew this team was destined for greatness.

I thought it was bullshite how we dropped from #1 after the Ole Miss game. It was the week after the emotional Bama game and we were up 31-7 at half, won by 3 TDs and pundits made it out to be like Ole Miss hung with us the whole way or something. How many times has Bama been flat against Miss St after their game against us and never been penalized?

But I'm kinda glad they did because after that drop our defense shifted into 5th gear. From Arkansas onwards our defense was not to be fricked with and our offense kept doing their thing. Being up 49-14 on Oklahoma at half, I was like there is no way anybody is beating us the way we play

After big dick joe demolished the “national champions” last year and put up 400 yards though the air.
