For all the talk about the sky falling and needing to fire coaches. When was the last time we had to rely on this much youth? Some form injuries, some from poor choices by players and some from players transfering. Dave Aranda showed what he was able to do with depth last year. Is this the main factor holding LSU back?

Last time we had this much youth playing was in 2000 Sabans 1st year. Outside of 2000 this is the most freshman that have played.

LSU has had freshmen start at some point nearly every year. The only difference is that the freshmen this year have gotten a chance to start immediately and rotate a lot with vets (except at the RG spot)

No. There are ways to scheme around youth if it's necessary to start them. Delpit and Vincent don't have to start right now as there's older guys at their positions but this new staff has allowed them to immediately start. It's something that didn't happen often under Miles. Ingram and Charles are facing a different situation as I think Cushenberry is out but there's multiple times where that RG spot has been put under pressure by Canada like when they're pulling or when they run right behind them at the goal line.

If you go back and watch the Miss St film it's just bad scheme, bad technique, and bad effort. Even the vets are performing poorly.

Exactly, we need to at least give this coaching staff enough time to put a experienced group on the field. Geaux Tigers!!!

Stop with the damn youth. Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Florida State, and Clemson don't blame shite on youth. Every year they are out there winning 10-12 games with young youth just like us. They have better coaching end of story.

Very good point ...Miles has the great fortune (luck) to have very experienced teams with endless depth.
Obviously, 10 win seasons were easy even for such an inadequate HC.
Ed Orgeron is charged with leading a team with a youth dynamic and a lack of depth the previous guy never had to incur.

Not sure what all those former LSU players are doing on NFL rosters ...odd because it's like a lot ...like a decade's worth.

Poor Ed Orgeron and the mess he inherited .

Don't get me started on the last few recruiting classes . Top 5 repeatedly at best ...not sure what Ed is supposed to do with a lack of talent to this degree.

Experienced QB , Heisman hopeful RB, etc ...Ed was really set up to fail in a major way.

Les Miles' luck was bound to run out at some point , it's just a shame it ran out on Ed Orgeron , I suppose ?

Sht , no dry towels available due to the endless tears I shed for what lay ahead with this amazingly sad state of affairs.

I am gettin older and have told people close to me I struggle with it ...hate losing my youth .
But , in a way I owe Ed Orgeron for providing a time machine and taking me back to the 90's....anyone wanna hit up some flaming Dr Peppers at French Quarter Daquiris ? Maybe catch Alison Collins Thursday night at the Caterie?

Which is singularly the most disturbing part of the MSU loss.
