I honestly think Chip Kelly is the replacement at Alabama. Proven winning college coach. When he gets fired at Philly he'll go back to college. His strategy up there might have worked, but it required a franchise QB who they couldn't get. Mariota wasn't even th answer.
unless another big school gets him first.
who's to say UF won't come knocking in two years?

Will probably be one of the best coaches when Miles retires. I like him as well.

USC may come calling first if Sarkisian continues to be a drunk frick up.

No. Of the names mentioned, I would hope the short list would include Wilson, Gary Patterson and Venables, among others.
Many things can & will happen between now and the time Miles departs, so other names will likely surface.

Just wondering what you all would want . I would love to have Jimbo on the sideline.
Yes, totally reasonable.

Dantonio is way too old, or at least will be in a few years in Les retires

Everyone knows Pete Carroll will be headed to Baton Rouge when that happens.
Don't be silly. Pete Carroll will coach defense, Belichik will be HC.

He's heading into his 15th season at TCU here soon. If the Horn Frogs hadn't moved into the Big XII recently then I could possibly see him leaving for the right job but I just don't see him going anywhere now.
TCU is #2 in the preseason AP poll. You can make an argument they were the best team in the nation a year ago only to get shafted out of an opportunity to be in the CFP. They have a serious Heisman candidate in QB Trevone Boykin this season. That program currently has a lot of momentum. Why would he leave that situation anytime soon?

shite, I want. He has the perfect offense for LSU.

I hope people aren't really considering Wilson as a possible hire. LSU is not the school for your first HC position. Has he even be a coordinator?
And I love Wilson at his current spot.

Franklin is a Pennsylvania guy. He has his dream job. Would never come here

Most people are throwing around the names that were thrown around when Miles was offered the Michigan job. None of them are very realistic anymore.

Justin Fuentes, Memphis HC, needs to be on the list of dark horses. I assume he'll jump to a major conference before Les retires though

Please stop these stupid threads. I would love to see someone cut off all your fingers

Don't think he'd be able to handle the off the field situation at Bama.
He can handle it, he just wouldn't want to.
I'm a huge Chip fan and would love him at LSU but he isn't coming back to college any time soon. He's going to continue being successful.

honestly don't think he would run the same offense at a SEC school.
He's running it in the NFL for Christ's sake, of course he will run his offense and we would see offensive statistics never seen before.
We would also see QB's be successful, every damn year! Can you imagine that? And the TE would be a priority position.
Biggest difference at LSU is he'd have the defensive recruits all over the field that were much tougher to get in #'s at Oregon.

You go for him and 12 other top 10 coaches. They all want to be at LSU. The OT will tell you that we can name our coach and he is expected to just come running to Baton Rouge.
I absolutely love your math. But then I saw OT in there and know you were joking.
