When Les breaks the LSU all-time win record AND wins another NC...

will it be unanimous that he's the greatest football coach in LSU history?

an argument can be made that he already is. Accomplishing those two things removes any and all doubt.
This is LSU though. We hate our own as much as anyone else does. So who knows.

Only if he wins another NC will I be satisfied enough to say that. 2007 is a long time when your arch rival won 3 in that span

Unfortunately, a lot of people will always say he won with "Saban's players" and has only had success because of the foundation laid by Saban. Sure, Nick Saban turned the program around and I'll always appreciate what he did while he was at LSU. But Les Miles has proven those doubters wrong. The last of the players who were either recruited by, or played under Nick Saban at LSU are long gone. Les Miles has continued to have success and winning seasons with players he recruited and brought to the program. He is a great coach in his own right, and if anyone says it's only because of Nick Saban, well, let's just say that argument is, at best, a very old argument by people who just love to hate on Les.
Will Les Miles go down as LSU's greatest football coach ever? I think he's well on his way to that honor.

Miles hangs it up on his own terms after 2016.

Winning another NC is an absolute must for Les Miles before he is done at LSU to secure his legacy as the greatest LSU coach ever and remove any lingering stains from the 1/9 once for all.

You don't seem to understand what you, nor the OP is talking about...

Or he'll be forced out after two more seasons with the shitshow at the QB position.
