When Les doesn't win a NC what will ppl say then? What happens when we have yet another year without a decent QB, what do we say then?

They will focus on all the NC's he could have won and didn't instead.

It will take a lot for him to live down what happened on 1/9/12.

It was LSU football's version of Pearl Harbor and it's had an impact on the program that lingers to this day.

Beating Bama in consecutive years and winning another NC along the way would certainly win back the favor he's lost with many LSU fans.

The best at LSU is Les. The best at Alabama was the Bear.

And second place at both isn't even close.

Funny you should use a crazy emoticon simply because you could not understand a simple statement. He means your assumption of nickthemidget winning titles if he had stayed here is total bullshite. Is that easier for you to understand?

.i just find it funny that there would still be people out there that would consider someone other than the coach with the most NCs, SEC titles, wins, and win % as the best coach in that schools history.

Saban national titles at LSU: 1
Miles national titles at LSU: 1

Saban SEC titles at LSU: 2
Miles SEC titles at LSU: 2

So miles coached here twice as long as Saban but only ties him in number of national and SEC titles. Surely you can see why some think Saban is the best coach in LSU history.

Sorry but he hasn't finished his coaching career at LSU...if he runs off 3-4 losing or .500 win seasons and gets fired how can you say he is the best ever?

In your pipe dream scenario of Miles winning another SEC and national title it still would have taken Miles 11-15 years to win just one more title than Saban did in his first 4 seasons. Having 1 more title in 3 times the amount of time doesn't exactly make it a closed case.

Yes! Saban was a great coach as well but he didn't stay around long enough. Miles and Saban have had some epic battles. Miles needs to get back the LSU swag to cement his place as the best EVER! He certainly can recruit and coach. Props to CLM!

Sorry, as much as I'd like to see LSU win another NC, I just don't see it happening under the Miles leadership.

Question, did you ever think miles would guide lsu to an undefeated season, win the s.e.c. championship, and bring lsu to a SECOND n.c. game?

I know a lot said he was the next larry coker and never believed 2011 would happen.

the reason I ask, is if ANYONE felt this way prior to 2011 and is still not happy with miles, then you have no credibility. didn't believe before, you were wrong, and making the same emphatic statements now.

p.s., I didn't think he would but I'm not saying he can't now. 2011 was lsu's best team in their history. better than the 50's, better than 2003, better than 2007. yes they don't have a n.c., however, they were the best. they still beat every single team they played. something 2003 or 2007 can't say.

so most NCs, most SEC titles, most wins, and highest win % wouldn't make him the best coach in school history?

Not to real men.
Now that is another matter to the little boys.
If you aren't man enough to move on from something unpleasant the fault lies within you. If you hang on to disappointments and cry and moan about them instead of moving on betrays your softness and lack of character.
But then you know that don't you?
You want your mommie to come in and make it all better don't you?

Les wins another one, along with an SEC championship and anyone who says otherwise should be bitch slapped. Who cares what another coach might have done if he were here instead. Les is here and he would have won 2 of our 4 championships and more games than any other coach in LSU history. Statue with the goofy hat and ridiculous clap right next to Mike.
