When films review come out, the amount of WR running wide open all night will be glaring.

Happy for the win but Nuss is reverting to Jordan Jefferson level for seeing the field.
The O-line gave Nuss an eternity in the pocket and was glad Nuss was disciplined by staying in a well formed pocket.
His throws were late. Which led to side line catches without the ability to turn up field. I don’t know that he targeted any seem routes that were open a great deal in the first half. Lacy ran a great route at the goal line on 4th down; that should have been the throw.
Nuss needs to spend time in the film room. This should have been a 40+ point game.

I wish I could say I disagree, but I can't.
Now, this is his first full season playing regularly I get that, but as a kid whose Dad is a former QB and coach and who has been practicing in the system for 3 years I expected he'd be a bit better at seeing the field an making better reads when he does have time.

His QB rating for the game was 160, with two dropped passes, that would have been TDs, so he did something right.

Nuss can make all of the throws, he’s shown it. Deep ball not included. He needs to go the Jayden route and get all his receivers out to Lake Charles to build some chemistry in the offseason. Between the ears is where he needs to come up. And either Joe Sloan has not been able to get him to reach his full potential or his dad is in his ear muddying the waters. Either way need to figure out the formula for success before spring. Go get him a line and he will light it up next season.

He completed 70% of his passes for over 330 yards, didn’t put the ball in harms way and got little help from his receivers once again due to the number of drops, including a touchdown. Go play in traffic

It would’ve been a 40+ point game if WRs caught the ball.

Part of me thinks he is scanning for (1) open (2) trust.
Yes lots of open guys but they also still have the drops.

He was 28/37. That’s 75% with four drops. Without the drops, he’s 86%. You are no where near as knowledgeable about the game as you think you are.

Oklahoma has a much better D. If he doesn’t see the field quicker it’s going to be another UF game.

One more note: Nuss’s PFF grade for last night was 86.3. 90 and above is considered elite. The film review was actually quite complimentary. OP is an idiot. Stick to Madden.

There were way too many wide open that had to just stand there and watch the game from some of the best spots in the stadium instead of being part of the game.
It was infuriating.

You make a post supporting my post but call me not knowing?

Why on earth would any qb trust lacy to catch a ball on 4th down wide open or not?

Nussmeier is a huge disappointment so far.

Coach Kelly said in his post game that the outside throws were all within the game plan. The check downs were also a point of discussion this week in practice. Not giving him a get out of jail card, but Nuss played well yesterday.

That was intended for the OP.

That’s called zone defense brah. You haven’t a clue what you’re talking about.

I’d bet my left testicle you didn’t play the position, if you played football at all.
Just because the seem route is open does not mean it’s the primary target for the play call. What you’re seeing is play calling with the primary reads being routes toward the boundary. The seem is probably the third look in the progression with the cross and and flat routes being 1 and 2. These are generally thought to be safer routes.
It’s soft play calling. Not the QB.

After the right guard was blown back in the backfield on a near sack, Nuss got rid of the ball much faster to what he saw in front of him instead of scanning the field to hit bigger plays. As glaring as that may be, I’m not sure if I can blame him. The interior line play remains problematic

WRs also dropped some great balls.
More than anything I'm happy Nuss didnt throw any picks
