BK has never won a NC but somehow he came here and thinks he can win one? Every year it’s something. 1st year was SP, 2nd year it was DC, this year is a little bit of everything and what’s in store next year? We aren’t necessarily getting better each year IMO.

Ed Orgeron, a guy with a 9-22 record as HC, came here and won a NC.

I think the guy with a 310-106-2 record is capable

When CBK is gone and we get a SEC proven winner coach, maybe Saban will come out of retirement...Lol.

Except the last 3 coaches at LSU all got one. It seems extremely likely that BK will get at least one

That just means he is capable of getting one. A lot of you guys just think national championships are a guarantee if you’re a good team with a good coach… and anything less means you have a bad coach.

LOTS of great coaches do not have a national championship. In fact, the overwhelming majority of great coaches don’t. You also have to factor in luck. Some amount of luck is ALWAYS involved. Had Alabama won the natty last year, the luck would’ve been Jordan Travis going down.

LSU was lucky in 2007. Moss’s TD in the Bama game could’ve EASILY been overturned with any other ref crew… it was 50/50. LSU got lucky against USCe. Etc.

LSU doesn’t have some magic potion that makes every coach win. That’s just the way it happened, nothing more.

Sure. He is capable of winning one here & I think he will.

He didn’t think he was capable of winning at ND. They haven’t won a NC since 1988

Yep, and two of those coaches didn't know if you stuffed a football, or put air in it.

LSU is such a dominant program (since Saban changed our trajectory AND culture), that two absolute IMBECILES won titles here.

I like our chances even more with competent men at the helm.

Played for championship

2003
2007
2011
2019

So 2026 or 2027 would be about time for another shot. Now whether it would be a win - who knows.

Baseball will win another NC before football does.

I could “see it” in 2026 but if Nussmeier becomes a good QB, I could see it next year.

How many freshman have won a national championship at QB? If he even comes here. Nuss is your best bet next year and that he takes a big leap forward.
