Sometime in '87 after moving into a new house as a five year old my next door neighbor, four years older, would brag about 'Bama constantly.

I've always hated Ole Miss and Auburn a little more; but shortly after hearing one of these turds skull drug his nutsack on one of our fans; the Bama hatred began fueling in me.

Born in the 60s and a child of the 70s, I grew up hating them. My grandfather was one of the engineers that designed Hatcher, Hodges and Johnson as well as South Stadium dorms (sorry bout that). All I remember about Bama as a kid was that C Mac always lost to them. I was in HS the first time I remember a win over The Bear in 82.
FRICK BAMA.
Naturally, my daughter married the son of a BAMA lineman from the Bryant era, so I have to be nice to them, but Frick Bama and may LF7 and BH6 destroy them tomorrow.
One additional comment; I really don't hate Nick and appreciate all that he did for my university, but I really hope we make him quit.

2007.

These games make me nervous every year. I try not to pay any attention to the hype going around in the media for two weeks. My inlaws are all Bama fans and I try not to talk about the game with them.

It's a love/hate relationship I have with this game. It's either incredibly exhilarating or crushingly devastating. A win and it can verify the credibility of our team. A close loss, while devastating, can also validate the credibility of the team.

It's the biggest sporting event of the year for me, unless we go to the playoffs.

Well, I was born in 1988. So that seems like a good time to start.

My post didn't make it through somehow so I'll repeat, the opposite of love is indifference.

I never watched college football until I came to LSU in 2007. It was easy to pick up on the hate since that was the year Saban started coaching there, but they had some down years for quite a while under Shula so the fans weren't too bad, and I didn't really hate them.

The next year when they ran the table in the regular season, I saw the cockiness of that fanbase. That's when I started hating Bama.

They were just a legendary team that sucked for me. I respect their program, don't like their fans. I feel it wouldn't be as big of a deal if a loud minority of our fan base didn't worship saban.

Man, what a POS to do that.

It's the attitude of the people who support that program.

My distaste for the red-clayers is more of a family thing as an aunt of mine married into Gumphood before I was born.
The ones I know have the ignorant/arrogant superiority complex going on.

Visiting the Gump part of the family used to remind me of a program called "Mamas Family"

Considering Dec 14, 1819 is when Alabama became a state, I started hating them as soon after that as I could say buck fama, Geaux Tigers

Then why'd your old man bet $100 on a football game?

Seriously, that's your take? Your comment Thib-a-doe elucidates THE Bama attitude, sure you don't have some Gump in you?

Your dad bet $100 when you needed an extra $100? He sounds like he had a gambling problem. Would you have lost the house if LSU had lost?

Sounds like YOU missed the point of the story. What kind of a person, having lost a bet would go to that extreme, a POS Bamite.
You can't understand that? You must be either a Lib or stoned.

I really didnt hate them during the mid and late 90s because they wernt any good, mind you I was born in 84. It wasnt until the early 2000s when I stated really seeing their true colors. Now days its at an all time high though, especially after Saban became their coach, it amped it up for me.

Thanksgiving 1973. 21-7 loss ruined my favorite holiday. Hated them with every fiber in my body ever since. Brad Davis did have a great TD run in that game.
