Most of those QB’s were decent to good QB’s but happened to play at a time when the team around them wasn’t that talented. Hodson was a really good QB. I think the really down times at QB were Jennings, B Harris, Hatch, and Jefferson which were toward the end of Les’s run. Les had a lot of misses and it put a bad perception on QB’s at LSU.

In the Les Miles days, they always said, “if they could get a qb…”

It’s all coming together

Don’t disrespect Hodson. When he finished his career, he was the sec all time leading passer.

Seeing the growth in JD from one year to the next I don’t understand why this would be a concern.

downvoted for putting the only 4-time All-SEC QB, Tommy Hodson, on your list of "bad QBs"...

And Jefferson but no Jarret Lee?

c'mon, man...

It started when Urban Meyer ran off Joe Burrow.

When Miles was sent packing.

O got the ball rolling when he brought in Burrow. All those great WRs attracted the attention of other great WRs and the ball continued to roll.

We totally developed Jayden Daniels this year. Last year, he was good, not great. This year, the legitimate best player in CFB.

2 Heisman winning quarterbacks in less than 5 years will do that.

As of now, it's based on Louisiana skill position talent + a Brian Kelly OLine factory.

It's the recipe for a highly successful QB...see 2019/2023

Should be pretty easy to recruit going forward

but dry as a bone with QB prospects year to year

Louisiana has been loaded with great QB prospects over the years. Lost a bunch to other schools, some never panned out, and others were underrated. Some that come to mind

3 Mannings
2 Howards
Perillioux
Brock Berlin
DaK Prescott
Cordell Stewart
Hodson
Delhome
Brandon Harris
Narcisse
Lindsey Scott

I’m sure there are a lot more that don’t come to mind.
