I grew up with qb’s like Risher, Wickersham, Hodson, Loup, Sol Graves, Howard, Herb Tyler, Jessie Daigle, Hatch, Harris, Jefferson, Etling etc……how did it all change? Seem like it was yesterday we couldn’t get a top QB to save our life.

No disrespect to Mauck and Flynn..:.love those Tigers

But can we develop one. I know we had luck with some transfers, and have gotten, developed talent after they were somewhat seasoned, but the development is a concern IMO, going forward.

Did you not see the development in year 2 from both Burrow and Daniels?

When LSU got rid of the antiquated Les Miles system.

Great in 2007. Awful in 2017.

Long story short, LSU discovered the forward pass.

We have always had ELITE skill players but never utilized the QB correctly until Burrows season.

Had to get rid of Miles and let our offense shine

Exactly. Plus we’ve developed nuss as well. Nuss wasn’t what he is now when he got here . Neither were Daniels and burrow . Hell we developed burrow and Daniels while they were here from year one to year two

There was a bad notion out there that you couldn’t win a championship with an elite spread offense and LSU needed to be a ground and pound team combined with Louisiana being a fertile ground for weapons, but dry as a bone with QB prospects year to year.

We should’ve been trying to lower those margins a lot earlier, wasn’t until Burrow that we finally unclutched that as a fanbase. Even pre 2019 the Offense was still about 10 years behind the curve of everyone else

Once you combine a QB friendly offense and all these weapons, sprinkle in elite Oline recruiting and you get today

These high school kids were like in 6th-7th grade watching Burrow Chase and Jetts drag their nuts all over the place for a whole year

Then Jayden comes in and beats Bama last year and wins the Heisman this year
