He was offered
That’s it

That’s it

He retired, he’s old as frick, and he only won because he had the jimmies and joes. Now anyone can buy them.

He rejected the offer. He isn’t coming.

Bro, if we bought out Kelly for 53m. Hired Saban for 80m… do you really think we would go cheap on NIL?? Hell no

We can only pretend to know his mind. It’s all speculation that probably won’t end well for those heeding it. Saying that, I would be overjoyed if he decided to do it.

I'm pretty consistent. He likes retirement BUT coaching is in his blood.
I really think $15-20 million a year for three years would do it. That is generational wealth. I have no doubt some LSU supporters would foot that kind of bill, not for anyone else but would for him.
Hehehe, Dallas just fumbled. Love it.

I think he's a decent guy. Driven like crazy. Hates mediocrity. Doubt he needs more $$$ but his agent might. But Saban's a decent man. He could rationalize LSU gave me my first big break and now I can return the favor.
But I don't hold him in as high regard as most. At least three of his nattys are asterisk'd:
'11 - had no business being given a mulligan
('12 - given a cushy schedule and almost wrecked it)
'17 - again, given a mulligan
'20 - won the Masters at Webb Park. Whoo hoo.
In reality, hasn't won an authentic title since '15. He was the greatest recruiter in CFB history. But in this era, that advantage may be somewhat neutralized.
He would certainly make things interesting.

It makes no sense for him to come to LSU unless he just wants to BK us which I don’t see him doing.
1) He has nothing to prove
2) He doesn’t need the money
3) He hates coaching college football the way it is currently
4) He hates dealing with boosters wanting guarantees and players wanting pay raises
5) He is 74
6) He would become a direct competitor to the school who built him a statue and named their field after him. You think he’s going to even remotely tarnish that legacy by knocking them out of the playoffs?
7) He quit on top
Add to that, there’s no way 74 year old Saban has the fire he used to have.

he is laughing at a bunch of low iq coonasses that think he is coming back to baton rouge…

Until I see a legal document from him saying no:

Horse hockey to all.
He studied the new NIL game from afar, infiltrating programs via Gameday, and is now ready to lead LSU to a dozen natties before retiring at 90 years old

this is pure football ignorance at its highest form. He was one of the best tacticians and X and O coaches ever. you are a moron.

I dont think he's coming. Thats my logical take
But if I were to suspend disbelief and try and assign some reasoning to why he would come i would think its a pattern of regret with him. He left for the NFL and less than 2 years later rumors came out he wanted back in at LSU (and he pretty much confirmed those rumors in interviews after his retirement) but couldnt bc of the success Les was having. So he found Bama. Now he's retired and less than 2 years later he could be having those same regrets. And DeBoer is doing well.
All of this "love for LSU" and nostalgia and stuff for him would just be bonus. He regrets not coaching, and LSU just happens to be the best job available. Its too perfect to pass up.
...but again im not getting my hopes up.

He wiped his arse with LSU's offer

The next coach will be Kiffin or Saban. Been saying this since 10/27.

I don’t think he’s coming. Not only that, but he’s not a good choice for the long run. College football has passed him by.

Six seasons and a movie
Posted on 11/3/25 at 8:37 pm to Dissident Aggressor
The "low IQ coonasses" picked him, hired him and allowed him to be so successful that EVERYONE wanted him to be their coach....and some still do at 74.
