They are both good defenses.

You should delete this thread.

Alls my point is I keep hearing "great defense". Great defenses shut teams out. Auburn isn't doing this. They are, statiscally, an average SEC defense.

We’ll know what they and Florida have next week.
There is the possibility that one team schemes the other and gets an early advantage via turnover but AU vs FL should be a fun game to watch.
Two offensive minded head coaches trying to scheme against the other teams really good front 7.
It will be fun to watch and should be beneficial for our staff.

Like others have said. Their D line is legit and we still have some questions about whether our Online can hold against a front that good.

Auburn actually has a defense the defenses that poses the biggest threat to what JB and the offense has been doing.

Don’t take them lightly

Their front 3 are basically a front 7. Not sure how god their secondary is. Didn’t seem too good but you don’t have much time to throw tho.

I think the are legit and getting better. They have the talent and are starting to believe. That is never a good combination for everyone else.

Hows this even possible when we had 5 sacks in the texas game alone.

Their defensive line is solid and teams haven't been able to run.

I know A&M got scads of passing yards against an Auburn defense playing prevent late in College Station. Same with Miss St. late in that game. Pointless stats don't alter the fact that Auburn's line is the proverbial immovable object.

LSU has 11 sacks in 4 games this year.

Therefore, LSU is averaging 2.75 sacks per game.

The 11 sacks have resulted in 71 negative yards.

BTW, how does a team record a half a sack?

Players can split a sack, but how does a team record a half a sack?

Is that like attempting a half a passs?

It's actually 1.125 sacks a game. Just saying.

DL, not entire defense.

They don't. LSU has a total of 11 sacks in 4 games. Auburn has a total of 13 sacks in 5 games. The 4.5 I listed is the DL only. This means a DB or LB had a half sack with a DL.

Their defense looks like Lsu's should

(But with worse secondary)

Lsu really needs to learn to play proper zone to handle teams down the stretch (oh and tackle!)

It's hard to say they're probably good but Oregon's offense suck, A&Ms offense sucks, Miss State's offense sucks.

So how to you grade them?

The "Auburns proven the most" line is laughable. Oregon is overrated so is A&M
