What's this "Great Auburn defense" talk all about?

They're tied at #32 in Yds/game with.. you guessed it - LSU.

They have a worse pass defense than us and a slightly better rush defense.

Offense:
#3 LSU @ 57.8 pts/game
#36 Auburn @38 pts/game

55-24 LSU

ETA: before you get all flustered, my point is that Auburn's defense isn't "great" - which is the word going around.

These are great defenses:
2011 LSU
2011 Bama
2004 Auburn
2009 Bama

They probably have the best defensive line in the country. They can give anyone fits. Our O line will have to be on their A game.

Yep. They have a few game changers on that line

Their defensive line is pretty damn good and cause for concern

They can win this game, if for no other reason...they're Auburn...not some panty-waisted Sisters of the Poor.

They're D is legit.

Good thing we won’t be running the toss dive 50 times.

I agree. Good thing. We do need to protect Burrow and have some success running. Won’t be easy but I’ll do my best

Their rush defense is almost identical to ours - so that's a push.

Sacks:
Auburn DL has 9 sacks through 5 games - 1.8 sacks/game
LSU DL has 4.5 sacks through 4 games - 1.125 sacks/game

LSU has started 2nd string DL in half their games.

I don't see how they're much better than ours...

That's a rather significant statistical difference...not sure how that works out to a push.

D - line is good but they can and will be had by the Burreaux train.

They have a couple of difference makers on the D-line but their pass defense is suspect. I don't expect them to stay with our receivers. Even though Nix is pretty good, I don't expect a freshman QB to come into Tiger Stadium and have a good game.

Their DL would all start over ours

You can throw out all the stats you want but if you watch their games you can see how good they are.

As much as I hate to say it, right now, this is correct.

I think we beat them, but this game won't be easy, especially with our soft defense.

Their front 7 looks like the best in the country right now, but their secondary is average at best. They haven't faced a prolific passing team yet, IMO. If LSU, Georgia, and Bama can protect the QB, they will light Auburn up.

I don't think most fans on here watch the other teams play. It's pathetic

You have time to watch every game? Now, that would be pathetic.

I think our oline will do well against auburn. We are more solid in the middle. Its those speed demons at Fl on the ends that I'm worried about.

I said their rush defense is identical to ours. Ya know, as in stopping the run. I didn't provide stats for rush defense.

Yeah that's going to be a bitch. I'm sure Brady and Ensminger will come up with something. Grantham is going to send dudes after Joe every play.
