Kentucky, 1977 in mid October. We got trashed 33-13, and the game wasn't that close, And to top off a crappy night, my girlfriend broke up with me while I drove her home from the stadium!

1982 vs Tulane we had beaten Florida state in the Oranges being thrown game to go to Orange bowl. Lost to Tulane in the last game of the season. Tulane threw over the middle all night to the tight end
This was my choice. (Posted it earlier in the thread)

LSU and Tulane was a big rivalry back then.

If Florida can play Non-SEC Florida State and Georgia can play Non-SEC Georgia Tech and South Carolina can play Non-SEC Clemson and Kentucky can play Non-SEC Louisville to close the season, then why can't LSU play Tulane? (Just make it one of the 3 Non-SEC games and pick up another SEC game somewhere on the schedule)

I think the big stink was that Tulane demanded a 2:1 return home game series towards the end. And LSU said no because 80% of the fans at the dome were LSU fans and we would lose a home game. (Or LSU demanded a larger cut of the Dome game bc 80% were LSU fans?) something like that

Know it’s recent, but that WKU game this last season was easily one of the most painful games I’ve ever watched.

Easy. 1993. 58-3 vs Spurrier, Wuerfel, and Erich Rhett.

In Tiger Stadium.

This was mine, most miserable game I’ve ever been too. The guy behind us must of said, our defensive line is standing straight up, about 1000 times. Drove my dad and I nuts all night. Thought my dad was gonna turn around and tell him to shut up.

The Tennessee game where LSU was up huge and Miles called off the dogs and the Clausen kid dinked and dunked them back to the win.

I think LSU football just went through the motions last year after the A&M debacle and Kelly's firing. The WKU game put into full relief the team didn't have a real.backup to Nuss, which was why he was the only option at QB and had to play hurt. Nuss even showed out during the loss at Alabama, 18 of 21 for over 100 yards, and two drives leading to FGs.

Losing to USM in Tiger Stadium in the 90s was pretty bad. The whole Curly era was pretty shitty.

One of the more disappointing games given the euphoria from the week before. But I don't know if it was one of the "worst".

My candidate is the 1996 Alabama game.

The (very) late 80's/early 90's for LSU football was awful. There wasn't even a thought of competing for a SEC championship during that time. Then Dinardo brought back the magic in 1995. In 1996 LSU started 6-1...it's best start in at least a decade. Yes, they were blown out at #1 Florida. But Florida was blowing everyone out at that time.

LSU went into the Alabama game, at home, ranked No. 11. Alabama was No. 10. It was College Game Day's first appearance at LSU. LSU had already beaten Auburn and Miss. St. The path to the SECW championship was clear if they beat Alabama. It was the moment LSU was going to finally come back to national prominence after years of being an afterthought

Then Shaun Alexander ran for nearly 300 yards and 4 TDs while LSU's defense and offense were totally helpless.

He was there almost as long as I was at LSU, I was trying to think of a game during that span that stood out. But we had no expectations of winning. I have to go with the Miami arse whipping in the rain. My dad never left early, we did on that one.
