If you have to ask you can't come in.

Got a squad going this afternoon. $2 draft beers and $1 raw oysters every Monday. Unbeatable deal to get three Ghost in the Machines for 6 bucks.

No, that poster is full of shite. Phil's Oyster Bar was started by Phil Tuminello, hence the name. Gus bought it in the 70s or 80s and now his sons own it.
Phil Anselmo's dad used to own and run Anselmos in the NOLA area.

They got some pretty good oysters too baw
Wish this was the case. I’ve been 2x in the past month or so. For a place called an oyster bar, that’s some tiny overcooked pieces of rubber. What a waste

There was a hole in the wall italian restaurant in Vegas called Batistas that had the same thing . Got invited there a couple of times with a well connected friend when I lived there. mayor, governor, Tarkanian, and any number of casino owners and restaurant/bar owners would be there. Was pretty cool.

Overcooked? You’re doing something wrong.

It has always been overpriced and mediocre on a good day. The place understandably went belly up a few years ago. It reopened at a new location and does well with the nostalgia crowd.

It didn’t go belly up, understandably due to mediocrity, there was a lot of family stuff that happened. Gus got sicker and died, and Jordan and Anthony didn’t agree on how to proceed and they shut down next to HobbyLobby, game planned and came back bigger and better at Perkins. It is absolutely packed almost always. You people will just speak to speak.

Is it really that cool of a spot anymore now that the avg joe is talking about it brazenly. "They" have probably found somewhere else to meet now that ever one know about this one.
