Nope. I vividly remember him going on Jimmy & Charles (back when ponamsky was on) midday show on ESPNBR and running with that angle hard.

K. I have met him, several times before he was a household name. Im not saying hes a terrible guy, hes just a weird mixture of cheesy and slightly arrogant.

He was awful when he first started, but now he's pretty good. Must be a bit of a learning curve in that business.

He was at his best early in his career. Was always clever and creative. I think the station asked him to tone it down a bit because most of his references were over his audience’s heads.
Still good though.

I met him a couple times at the Red, Rock, and Blue events years ago. Struck me as a knowledgeable and great guy. He very much loves LSU, the Saints, and Baton Rouge and desires to make a positive impact on the community

Man that’s like 20 years ago. Don’t recall specifics. He had a circa 1980’s Chris Berman style to him. Very colorful. I met him playing b-ball at Rec Center when he was just getting started. He told me the station was asking him to reign it in a bit because of the demographics of their audience.
He’s a bit more subdued from when he first started out but still very good.

He heavily influenced the Shady's Bar fight ordeal. I've always had an issue with how he covered that situation. Outside of that, he seems like a pretty decent dude

I don’t think heavily influenced is the right word. I know the “marine” who got his arse beat. He’s a total douche and definitely was the instigator of the whole situation.

He lawyered up quick and got in front of that story to pump the whole “thug football player attacking America’s hero angle” and gave that to the press. They were simply reporting what they had.

I don’t think Jacques was intentionally slanting the story.
