Jones to Davis against Ole Miss in 72. Remember it like it was yesterday. Was sitting very low on the south end of the West Side on about the 5 yard line, very close to the vantage point of where this footage was shot. LINK

I don't think you realize how insignificant college baseball is nation wide.

Yes the punt return by Cannon. The Bluegrass miracle was very dramatic, but LSU just ended up 8-5 which ties for their worst record this century. OM would have been undefeated if not for that and won the NC against the defending NC. OM beat LSU 21-0 in the Sugar Bowl that year.

Sounds a lot like 2011, no?

It's tough to beat a team in a tight game and then play them again in the same season.

1. Billy Cannons punt return
2. Hodson to Fuller (aka earthquake game)
3. Flynn to Byrd

20 yrs from now when LF is in HOF it will be LF flipping the Auburn tackler over his back...

Believe it or not, at least among older fans this play involving YA Tittle is a pretty famous LSU play, too:

In Tittle's day of iron man football, he played on both offense and defense. While on defense during a 20–18 loss to SEC champion Ole Miss in his senior season, Tittle's belt buckle was torn off as he intercepted a pass from Charlie Conerly and broke a tackle. He ran down the sideline with one arm cradling the ball and the other holding up his pants. At the Ole Miss 20-yard line, as he attempted to stiff-arm a defender, Tittle's pants fell and he tripped and fell onto his face. The fall kept him from scoring the game-winning touchdown.[11][12]

Step 1: Intercept ball
Step 2 : Stuff football in pants
Step 3: Hold up pants with one arm
Step 4:?????
Step 5. Profit

If LF has an epic nfl career then his run against A&M in 2014 will be replayed for a generation.

I dunno, but his run against Auburn was nice. I do think the bluegrass miracle gets the nod because of the fact that UK was celebrating even dumping Gatorade on their coach.....lmaoooo

I actually enjoyed the success we had under Les. Still cannot deny the "lost" look at times.

I don't care who is coaching. I will always pull for the Tigers to win.

Might as well put Cannon's defensive stop at the goal line to beat Ole Miss after the Cannon run to win the game.
