Lest we forget. Notre Dame 1971. And the 61 to 17 Ole Miss game. Of course the crowd at the games you mention was great. The Florida 1997 crowd was amazing as well

Student section. It was insane the whole game. I’m pretty certain I attended every game listed on this thread and none of them can compare to that experience for me.

Auburn 03 is forgotten about but it was deafeningly loud on that first series. Think there was a bit of a delay for rain so the game started later than normal. I think Lavalais had a big sack to end Auburn's first series and it just snowballed from there. Great environment.

There was a delay that game. Because I remember I had a rec-league football game that morning and we didn’t get on the road till like 12-1pm from it in Bossier. We made it to BR just in time to park and get to the game to see the first kick.

My dad was driving like a mad man down 190 trying listening to the pregame show haha.

Great description, totally agree, it was deafening, the atmosphere was electric.
Watching the student section, once on the field, do the gator chomp at the fans that were in disbelief. I didn't want to leave. Everybody going back where game day was set up and giving them hell was funny.
I couldn't talk for 2 days afterwards, lol.

Last year when the team ran out for Bama is the right answer even if it went downhill 10 min later.

It started in the student section with a Gator fan or band member took a giant gator flag to the NW lower bowl. A drunk LSU student took the flag from the dumbass FL fan. The guy ran back to the student section with the flag and the dumbass FL dude chased him. As soon as he got close he passed it up one row and teased him with it. Then some stadium officials tried to help him retrieve it and they passed that flag all the way to the upper deck and tossed it out of the stadium. This was well before game time and barely 5K had trickled in but the roar started there.

That's crazy!! So how long before kickoff? All that really happened?

Just to reiterate my pick of the bama game last year. I remember it was so loud the players couldn't hear the refs. We had that one play in the 1st quarter where we nearly destroyed Tua's knee. Only like 3 players on offense heard the whistle.

I've only been to TS 3 times so obviously don't have a lot to work with, but I truly cannot even imagine how it would be physically possible for a stadium to be louder than it was after the skyler green catch. I've told people that for 16 years now too. I don't care if the stadium seats 120K or if it's at night or if it's 1v2 or any other situation you can think of, I am certain that that was the loudest single moment I've ever heard and will ever hear.

LSU Auburn 87 was most memorably loud in my experience, but it’s hard to remember if it was the dramatic ending that is what makes it stand out more, or the entire game, which was loud as well, but I also remember games against Notre Dame, Bama, and Florida that were equally as electric and loud. The 2000 Bama game at Tiger Stadium I also remember as being one of the loudest from beginning to end. My dad swears by the USC game though. I wasn’t able to make that one. Can’t remember why though.

When #1 LSU beat #3 Arkansas in 2011 and Bobby Petrino was yelling at Les Miles for running up the score and LSU won 41-17, that stadium was rocking and rolling with each possession.

And then of course Petrino had a little motorcycle incident....

There have been many EPICLY LOUD, HISTORIC Games, Moments mentioned above in Tiger Stadium. They are/were ALL uniquely LOUD. And probably many, if not all of them, surpassed Decibel Levels Greater than ANY OTHER STADIUM IN ANY SPORT, EVENT AT ANY ARENA ANYWHERE @ ANYTIME IN HISTORY!! It is a Fact because, due to the Physical Characteristics, Materials, Shape, Sea Level, Humidity/Atmosphere and overall Acoustics unique to Tiger Stadium. Those Factors....COMBINED WITH....SOUTH LA CULTURE, PASSION, HISTORY, INTENSITY, DRINKING, ETC ETC......cause/create a Synergistic Environment UNLIKE ANY OTHER that is able to effect EARTHQUAKES!!

Lets not forget or overlook LSU's FOOTBALL (and other) TEAMS!! The bottom line is the LEVEL OF ATHLETIC TALENT this area consistently produces is STUNNING! Louisiana people are Unique, Persistent, Dynamic, Outspoken!! They are CRAZY TALENTED in many DIFFERENT manners, ways!
