I never said it had to be just football. I just used football because it's the sport I like most.

Gotta go with '03 UGA in TS.
I was a fair weather LSU fan until sitting in the student section that day. After UGA scored, the student section errupted in "LSU! LSU! LSU!..." And Skyler sent the crowd into a fenzy with the ball descending (in what seemed like slow motion) directly into his hands in front of the student section. It propelled LSU into BCS era national recognition and I think LSU has given the SEC it's reputation as the deepest and most dominant conference since that day. I think LSU still has more active pro's than any other collegiate team today, and I believe that game is what started the momentum.

All you youngsters are saying games in the 2000's
I don't care what anyone says, how old you are, or if you have been going to games since the 30's. Florida 07 and Georgia 03 were hands down 2 of the top 5 games in LSU Football history.

The return trip to USC was 1984, btw.

1) LSU vs. UF 2007
For me, without a doubt. Lou F'n Tepper's only good game.
Dbacks were all over the place!

I played in it ( special teams) but USC in Tiger Stadium was magical (despite the loss).
If you could please share some more thoughts about the game, I would love to hear about it.
+1

the bring back the magic game vs auburn..not sure of the year 95 or 96 i think
1995 - that was the best game I attended in person, until 2007 Florida (and now 2010 Alabama completes the trifecta).

As an old timer it is hard to argue with most of the choices in this thread but I will go with
1959: #1 and defending NC LSU vs #3 Ole Miss

it's not the greatest as of today, but the florida game last year may end up being pretty special.
the fake fg, the fade with 6 seconds left.
the game that les and lsu earned a lot of respect back. and with urban gone, and nick sure to leave soon, there's no telling how great this program will be in the next decade. it may end being a turning point, kinda great game, at least in the les mile's era.
