He won’t survive no bowl bid. Has to win at least six games.

To me it is pretty simple; at no point can Ed O let his overall record as LSU head coach be worse than the last four years of Les Miles' tenure. If that becomes the case there's no argument for keeping Orgeron when Miles was fired for the same thing.
In Miles' last four years (not counting the mid-season firing and interim coaching for either) LSU was 37-14 with two postseason wins. In Orgeron's first four years LSU is 39-12 with three postseason wins. If LSU goes 7-5 and then loses a bowl game that would mean Orgeron would have a worse winning percentage than the last four years of Miles and bowl wins in less than half his seasons as coach, which I think should do it for him. 8-4 with a bowl loss would be a flaming hot seat. 8-4 with a bowl win or 9-3 with a bowl loss would be moderately hot.
I don't know why we're discussing this anyway though. LSU is stacked for this year, the defensive issues should be solved, and the offense will have a choice between two QBs that both looked really good last season.

This schedule is set up nice and we are returning damn near everyone. 10 wins is my floor for the regular season, but I'd imagine most others would have it around 9.

i think 10-2 should be the worst. anything less than that then Coach O On notice.

This is the correct answer

The only floor O will be hitting is your mom’s pelvis. Get this passive aggressive shite out of here. O is winning bigly.

There is no floor on O this year. I would pose this question, how great will our tigers be this? See, more of a positive statement rather than trying to bring negativity to coach O.

9-3 but it depends on who the losses are to and how the games are lost. Let’s say Bama is an L. After that the other two can’t be bad ones. Can’t lose to the Mississippi states and mizzous of the world. It has to come to other good programs. Florida or A&M. No head scratching losses.
8-4 with two BAD losses is unacceptable.

Keep the whole team together for a year, prove these hires are worthy of their positions, no bad press about the current program, and win 7 games is the BARE MINIMUM he has to do to retain employment, IMO. I hope he is able to do all these.

You folks who want to ponder the coaches future with an attitude of doubt and dislike are delusional.
I know some things need fixing but give the man a break. Last year was an apparition. It wasnt a true indicator of the talent the Tigers have.
When you consider how many went to the NFL along with the Covid-19 Quitters and the fool we had pretending to be the D.C. the coach did the best with what he had.
Lets see what another year with a healthy QB, a new D.C. and new attitude will do.
