What’s it going to take for LSU to guard the 3-point line?

Is it too much to ask for them to be defended? These are wide open looks.

Same ole same....defense out of position scrambling leaving open shots and no blockouts on defense
Happens game after game

GA Tech beat 5th ranked Louisville Wednesday playing man and shut down their 3-point game. It is really irritating LSU doesn't put forth the D effort to at least contest more 3's. How hard is that??

The Yellow Jackets (12-13, 6-8 ACC) broke out to leads of 12-2 and 16-5 early and held off the Cardinals (21-4, 12-2 ACC) late, earning their the first victory over a top-5 team since Jan. 9, 2016, when it defeated No. 4 Virginia at home, 68-64. Tech shot 43 percent during the slugfest, and went 20-for-28 from the free throw line, both season highs, while also holding the Cardinals , the ACC’s top three-point shooting team at 44.9 percent in conference games, to just 13 percent from downtown.

The thing that bugs me about it is, it's the same mistakes from game to game. Not enough movement and screens on offense although if they hit some of the shots they got in the paint they are close.

Coaching?

They would probably be in first place in the SEC if only they could guard the three, right?

But but but things will be better when Manning is back. There is no style problem only a depth problem.

Take Shackleford out of the picture, and the rest of the team is 3-12 now. I think we’ve done a better job guarding the 3 in this first half than we have at anytime in the last month

Against a team that shot 59 3s last game you expect them to not make a few our defensive rotations have been much better

It’s infuriating watching us guard five goddamn feet away and barely jumping with one arm extended to contest the shot. The energy we play with on D when we’re down 3 with less than 5 minutes to play is the energy we need all game every game. Will Wade gets on their arse damn near every time you hear him on the Live Mic in games. I’d start addressing it like Coach O and the rest of the coaches do with Special Teams on kickoffs. If you don’t hustle, sit on the goddamn bench.

It has been, but we could be an elite defensive team if we played to our potential.

Probably told not to guard due to worrying about fouls
