First game is always grilled burgers and sausage here. Stuffing some banana peppers with pepper jack cheese and boudin them wrapping in bacon for the grill as well. Good ole tater tots and Jack Daniels to round it out.

Screwed up. Agreed to supper club night at neighbors weeks ago, weeks ago, not realizing it was opening night. Told my wife, 'what were we thinking?' At the mercy of the host for menu, and I'll DVR the game. Plan to txt family/friends saying don't send any updates! I'll bugout as soon as I can, and settle down to watch our Tigers start 2019 with a bang. Hammer Down Boys!

It's supposed to rain throughout the day here. I'll probably make some jambalaya. I can't wait for Oyster season.

I usually try to eat whatever the opponent's mascot is or as close to it as I can get. For the Eagles, we're doing a bunch of chicken in the smoker tomorrow. We'll have all the usual sides and fixins, but the mascot part of the meal will be chicken. Doing brisket next weekend for UT.
