I know he can't really speak the truth on the situation, but behind closed doors, BK has to realize the job here at LSU is not the cakewalk he thought it would be. Every SEC contest is a war and no matter how good the talent is in Louisiana and the South to recruit, you still have to coach them up. I don't see a hands on coach in BK and his continued whiffs on coaching hires is also a major concern. His failure to recognize the importance of NIL also put the team at least a season behind as well. Will things get better? Don't think so, his style and persona has been exposed and I don't think it is liked by the players any more than to the fans. I will go one step further- if he loses to A&M, especially if it is a big loss, then he may still have a job, but he will know he is finished. The only question then is does he have the dignity to resign gracefully afterwards or does he stay another year for the money and have a losing season next year and being fired, the final dagger in his career.

My feelings on BK are documented all over this board.
But I think a lot of local and almost all national media people have absolutely no idea what’s going on behind the scenes at LSU and are just throwing shite against the wall to see what sticks.

Say what you will about Woody and BK hire but he also hired Mulkey and Johnson and maybe gymnastics coach (I don’t follow enough to know who hired him). That’s 3, maybe 4 (gymnastics) national championships. Woodys seat isn’t hot.

None of those sports pay the bills. You can’t miss on the football hire at LSU. I love Jay Johnson, but baseball doesn’t pay the athletic department’s bills.
