Posted this in another thread on the topic...
It wouldn't be a permanent fix, but we should copy clemson and let the fans come down on the field to celebrate victories with the team. I guarantee people would hang around for that.
I drive 3.5 hours one way to every game. My observation...we start tailgating at 8AM. That means I left my house before 5AM. Kickoff is at 6, games now last at least 4 hours. I don't get on the road good, typically, until 11:30PM. I usually make it to my driveway around 2:30AM Sunday morning. Our culture of partying all day is largely to blame for early exits. By halftime, we've been going hard for at least 12 hours, and we still have 2 hours of the game left and 3.5 hours of driving to get home.
If they'd let us on the field to celebrate a win, I'd stay until the end every week. All of that being said, in over 30 years of doing this, I've left "early" maybe ten times. Those times were because I had young kids during a hot day game or had been awake for over 24 hours and still had to drive home. I don't consider getting up and walking down with a minute or two left when the game is out of reach leaving early.
Let us on the field after a win and I'd bet the stadium stayed 3/4 full until the clock read all zeros.

This isnt just a tiger stadium issue.
I hate this answer because LSU is not “just like every other college”. This problem is not a fan problem, it is a problem with the direction this administratjon wants the program to go.

It was an 8 pm start that quickly turned into a blowout in the muggy rain. How on earth would anyone expect a full stadium the whole time.
How about half a full stadium to the end??Is that asking too much from these fking snowflakes?

What needs to be fixed ??
I think they are at least trying. I noticed the piped in songs were more classic stuff than the crappola they have been playing. The big issue for me as I have said every week is the absolutely piss poor sound system. I sat in the optimum seat in TS last night... 45 yd line about 2/3 way up and I could not understand the PA announcer for shite. The songs they played were hard to recognize due to the poor sound system. They played a popular song, And We Danced, and it took me at least 30 seconds to recognize it. This is a song on my latest playlist on my phone...
I know too that it is not just me because my 26 yr old daughter was with me and same result.
Another major issue that I hear from many is the lack of any usable cell service in the stadium. I dont social media in the game but there are a lot that do. I just keep up with other games on ESPN app mainly because the LSU banner strips and screens are so full of ads that you miss what little if any update info they do show.

Extreme cameltoe shots of LSU's Golden Girls in the 4th Quarter.

Have security at the gates as they leave. Season ticket holders have to scan their ticket. If you leave early twice in a season, you aren't guaranteed tickets next year. Problem solved.

That is my biggest gripe from the game lastnight and it isn't new at LSU.
every commercial or break on the game they had some family or something to introduce, my wife and the people around us would sit down and get quiet and bored.
Instead how about play some music and keep people interested and rowdy. Whether it be the band or piped in.
Honestly as much as I love listening to the band, their musical selections haven't been the best to keep fans rowdy.

1. Construct a new road system in and out of Baton Rouge so that the drive away from the stadium takes less than two hours to get out of the lots to clear traffic .
2 Require TV broadcasts to be in black and white with low resolution.
3. Free beer in the Fourth quarter.

Being able to leave, go in the parking lot, drink a beer and smoke a cigarette and then show your ticket stub and return.

Yes be cause God forbid someone go 4 hours of their life without having an alcoholic beverage or cigarette.

Try superglue.
Or try realizing this is a trend across much of college football and don’t let it bug you.

Same things for a good picnic: food, weather, beer, and decent bathrooms (especially for the women.)

It’s television...in the old days, fans had to go to games to see the tigers play. Now you can stay home or leave at the half and finish watching at home or tailgate. If all you could do was listen on radio like many years ago, people wouldn’t leave until 4th quarter...That’s just how it was!
And yes last night was raining and started too late...but there has always been traffic!
If it’s a big game and competitive, let’s hope the people stay! I believe they will

2) for most people, lsu football is a party. like it or not, that's what it is.
3) what's it to you if someone wants to get a drink or two and a smoke?

This is the answer, people can give all the other reasons they want but if LSU wasn't on TV those reasons would not be enough to keep them away or have them leave early.

more than half the game is a commercial break that's why people leave.

Not having to get a head start on the 5 mile walk across campus to your car at midnight because every square inch around the stadium was auctioned off to the highest bidder.
