What fans pay the majority of the bills? The football fans should be catered to first and we should have a top flight stadium inside and out. Go to some of the other stadiums in the sec and see for yourself.
No doubt we lead sportscenter, and that's a good thing, but there's no reason that LSU can't have a basketball team that consistently makes the ncaa tournament
, and nothing this coaching staff has done inspires one ounce of confidence they can get there. The Simmons signing was nice, but that was lighting in a bottle stuff, and the jury is still out on how that will end up. What happens next year? Are we a tournament team? Johnny with all of this talent at least should make it to the sweet 16.

Mens Basketball - Two poor head coach hires.....not exactly lighting the world on fire. The second of which was plucked from a small directional school at the behest of folks hanging around the athletic department. A coach who didn't get a scratch of interest from any other major programs after several years at that directional school. Has done a decent job of acquiring talent, but has absolutely no clue what to do with it.
Womens Basketball - Seems to be going in the wrong direction currently.
Softball - Pretty good hire.
Baseball - He didn't hire Maineri, but the program remains pretty good.
Facilities - Outside of Tiger Stadium is fabulous, the inside of the stadium remains a dump. As I've mentioned in other threads the bathrooms in most parts of the stadium resemble something out of a Turkish prison. The TV's in the concourses by the concession are relics from the 80's, and most don't even work.
And for the OP to remove Alleva it would need to be done by the Board of Supervisors. Which just gave him a raise and extension, so unfortunately it doesn't look like it will happen soon. Funny enough, from what I've heard most despise him, but he has two large boosters in his back pocket which won't let him go anywhere.

This is Johnny fourth season if he makes the tourney that will be 2 out of 4 and 2 straight once he got his players. I agree they should make the Sweet sixteen this year. I am not saying Johnny is the best coach ever, but i think he is hte best for LSU right now. Like it or not LSU isn't a big draw to get a top notch coach. You are the third sport on your own campus that season starts at the end of one and ends at the beginning of the other.

Alleva is the problem in my opinion
Alleva is not the reason the program has been on a decline. If anything, he is the solution. Miles made his bed. It's time he lie in it.

he essentially created this whole situation with this fruity $15M buyout.
There is no "situation"

Fixed it for you. If you can't notice the difference in talent in LSU's basketball program over the last few years, you are clueless.

Softball - Grand slam hire.
Once again, fify

TV's, sure, let's give em an upgrade. But I have to ask, how much time do you spend in the "Turkish prison" bathrooms? My boys and I take a leak in the restrooms once we enter the stadium before the game, and then we don't visit them again until the next home game. Why do you spend so much time in there?

draw swastikas on the walls of the school with feces then blame the A.D. for not doing anything about it. Then hold a hunger strike till he's gone.. just spit balling here lol

What would be there procedure for getting rid of Alleva?
Obviously, it would involve a lot of people of people logging in to the rant and bitching about him. That's what got Miles in hot water, isn't it?
Posted on 11/26/15 at 7:26 am to LSUTigersVCURams
First hiring the wrong replacement coach for Miles. Alleva won't get a second chance like in the pastt with his hires.

The $15M buyout was put in place before Alleva got here... Y'all are ridiculous.

It's so sad it's hilarious just how fricking stupid Alleva haters are. He's done an amazing job and had nothing to do with the buyout.

Alleva has done a good job as AD

So if he lands Muschamp and Fisher, you would want to fire him?

If Alleva pulls off hiring Jimbo he deserves a raise. Would be the biggest hire to date at LSU. Saban was big but he wasn't the household name he is now.

...Look at other sports facilities besides football. You know he is the Athletic Director not Football Director. Upgraded basketball practice facility, tennis facilities, nutrition center for all athletes, and upgrading football ops.
While "technically" that may be true...
You do understand that Alleva, and any other AD at LSU for that matter, success will be judged by the success or failure of the football program.
If Jimbo, or whoever Alleva is bringing in as the next coach is successful...Alleva will be a rockstar and bulletproof. If not, Alleva's in trouble.
This won't be like Duke, he won't get 3 attempts at finding the right football coach.
