I have no delusions that LSU can win this game. The matchups between the two teams have been pretty much equal during the Saban era, until this year.

Bama IS the superior team this season, and will win. I just hope the Tigers don't go into a Miles-like tailspin after the game. 9-3 and a nice New Year's bowl are attainable and Orgeron's first full year would be regarded as successful.

That's a bit of a myth. We won out in 2012 and 2013 after the Bama game. We had two games after the gumps in 2014 and split them.

Only 2015 was a tailspin, as we list the next two before righting the ship against aggy.

LSU 24 Bama 21

Just remember:

We beat Auburn when no one in the free world gave us a chance

Syracuse beat Clemson

Iowa State beat Okla. who was favored by 35 pts
with a backup QB, walk on, Comp Sci major who had never played a down. He was so far down the depth chart, a LB was listed ahead of him as a 2 way player.

Bama is due for a bad game and Saban knows it.

LSU wins 24-23. Alabama will have the ball in the 4th quarter with 51 seconds left, at their own 33-yard line, down 1, trying to get into field goal range. Jalen Hurts will throw an out route to Robert Foster 13 yards deep; Greedy Williams will jump the route and intercept the ball to seal the game.

Realistically, I dont really have any expectations of winning this game. Bama has looked absolutely solid on all sides of the game all season, LSU has had alot of growing pains this season. But, if LSU plays to the best of our abilities, I could see a really close game, just like last year, where Bama simply pulls away slightly in the second half.

Final:
Bama-24
LSU-10

The LSU offense was stymied by wide receivers not knowing their routes for each position early in the season. Some receivers could only play one position because of this. I have to think that has cleared up by now. So I guess I am trusting the Canada “Where’s Waldo?” attack method ... problem is, Bama has few Waldos...

I also remember that Aranda had a hard time stopping Canada’s offense this fall after he installed it in the spring. Granted, Aranda was not scheming against it the same way Bama is, but Aranda struggled against a limited offense that the players could not even grasp yet.

DC and OC will have a great game plan and make adjustments (a new wrinkle for LSU there) ... players rise to the occassion ... stunner in Tuscaloosa ... LSU by 1 .... it will be close... with recruiting and pride on the line, LSU will make them forget the Iron Bowl. (I was raised to never count the Tigers out)

Plus, I live among them in Alabama ... a 1 point loss is all it takes for Bama fans to take the flags off their pickups in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

LSU DL might be able to compete for 1 or 2 quarters.

The LSU Sun Belt/Southland/SWAC OL will be overwhelmed and dominated from the beginning.
