November 19, 1949 - LSU 48 Southeastern 7
My dad was a student at SLC under the GI Bill. Mom, dad, my brother and sister and I piled into the family's Studebaker and drove to BR. I was 8 years old at the time and became a life-long LSU fan after that game. One interesting feature of the game was that Coach Tinsley was not satisfied with the effort of the team in the first half. He pulled the starters and took them to a practice field south of the stadium (which then was a horseshoe) and put them through full contact workouts and allowed the subs to play the entire second half.

LSU-Rice, 1995. I was a sixth grader, and I believe it was the first game after the great victory against Auburn, where Gerry Dinardo "brought the magic back" to Tiger Stadium. It was an awesome atmosphere, and I've been hooked ever since.

Opp was North Carolina - and they had an All-American back, Charlie "Choo-Choo" Justice - never forgot that name.
That was the game where the ground crew left the water system running all night before the game creating a muddy quagmire - Choo-Choo couldn't get his game going in the mud. LSU won, 13-7. Some people think Coach Tinsley created the muddy field on purpose.
BTW, your first game was a few weeks before mine in November, 1949.

Tulane game 1996. I had just made 14 years old. My dad was not a big LSU fan, but I became one that night. I will always remember chanting bullshite at the top of my lungs to the refs, and hearing the crowd chant "assholes, assholes" to Tiger Tag. Learned to love it even more as a student.

My first ever game was the 98 Bama game, I was 9.
The one where we were winning basically the entire game, even blocked a FG late in the 4th quarter to remain up 2 scores. After that my dad wanted to leave because he figured the game was over. So we left, got in the truck and turned the radio on, just in time to hear Bama recover an onside kick and eventually win the game.

1967 LSU - KY
That's the first one i actually have memories of.
From the early to late '60's my parents went to the games with the pastor of Weller Ave, I can remember Mom getting her hair done, wearing a nice dress, earings and always an LSU themed corsage. The times Dad brought my brother and I, he just dressed casual, and I can remember thinking that just didn't seem right lol.

Sometime in the late-1950s or early-to-mid-1960s my Dad, a 1950 LSU graduate, took my sisters and I into Tiger Stadium to see his former Dorm room that was located beneath the stands. It was used for storage when we saw it.

Oregon State, 2004. GAMEDAY had come, rain delay...and JaMarcus Russel dove into the end zone in OT for the win right in front of where we were sitting! Will never forget it!

Louisiana All-Star Marching band, summer prior to my senior year of high school.
So glad you posted this, because I couldn't remember the name of the marching band thing that first brought me into Tiger Stadium. This was it :)
First real game experience was stepping out with Tigerband for pregame at the start of my freshman year in 97. Game one was UTEP ... we crushed them. :)

UAB 2013. Odell Beckham returned a missed FG back for a TD before it was cool.

November 4, 1972:
LSU vs. Ole Miss
Burt Jone completed a touchdown pass to Brad Davis for 17-16 victory with 4 seconds remaining…
I was 6 years old at the time and have been a tiger ever since…

I was at the game. I graduated that December, my cousin and I were both married and had our wives with us. OM still pissed about those 4 seconds, especially that last 1.

Vanderbilt in 1996. We won 35-0 and I remember it being the white out game and being blown away about how good Kevin Faulk was in person.
