A Hole of a coach, should have been thrown out of the game.

The crew at State this weekend is fricking terrible. I also would rather my coach give some shite to some obvious shitty calls then sit there and take it like a bitch.

Sounds like they used the track man data to grade the umps, and so they aren’t giving strikes on the inside and outside black like they used to. I guess the SEC wanted to tighten up the zone to be more like the MLB

If this is true, which I suspect it is, that’s ridiculous. This is COLLEGE, not the MLB

Surprisingly he didn't get tossed for arguing balls and strikes as loudly as he was going at it. Seen SEC umps toss players and coaches for less.

He had a legit gripe on one, but the ball 4 was clearly out of the zone.

It makes me feel even better knowing that run may have been the difference in the game.

He gave state a huge zone. The umps were a part of keeping this 9-8.

Wouldn’t a huge zone yield a low score? Are you saying that after we went up 9-1 he gave State a big zone but not our pitchers?

Jared Jones should have struck out twice in the previous at bat, but blue squeezed the hell out of the pitcher. Blue knew he blew it which probably explains the extremely long leash he gave their coach.

There was a ball that got called a strike and strike that got called a ball in the previous at bat. So I called it even.

Yes, and in addition to that, he widened his zone sporadically, which is the worst thing he can do

The most important goal should be consistency. It’s the first series out of 10. Hopefully it gets better.

Ive watch lsu and a few other teams this year, from what i can tell, the zone is the same as last year, which means real tight
unless you miss it in the same place twice. The second is always called

I missed the first part of the game. There were a few people in the game thread mentioning that they would be surprised if he didnt get the boot from the game.

Announcers stated in multiple innings they didn’t expect him to last the whole game bc he kept yelling and complaining. This one was the one that got the most air time but he was doing a lot of bitching the first 4-5 innings and the players I believe were jawing by our dug out between innings as well

I thought that the mic was picking up a random fan.

I did too until they showed it was the coach. I said that if a fan in the stands was screaming F bombs to that extent, he would probably get a visit from security.

Did Jay Johnson continually curse the umpire from the dugout? Did Jay Johnson get a warning and continue with the same behavior that created the warning? Then they weren’t the same.

Coach Lemonis is probably feeling a bit more heat this year to win.
