You talking radio only or pay per view?
Last one I remember having to get on pay per view was the Troy comeback game.

Tiger vision goes back to the 80s
So my guess is early 80’s pre ESPN days
Kevin Wagner would know
He’s been there forever

Lsu had SEC games in the 90s not on tv. I had to listen to games with Kentucky (the purple pants game) and similar matchups on the radio.

Nope, I started Charter(not Charter at the time) in 88’ and we had Tigervision for a few years for sure! I’d say some where in the mid 90s

What was crazy was the Auburn game was on PPV, just not available in Louisiana.

It was definitely on PPV...was on at a sports bar here in Nashville. Place was packed.

I have lived in VA since 1980, and I watched that 1995 auburn game on jefferson pilot or raycom at home.
The last LSU game not available on tv was the 49-0 2008 home
win vs Kentucky. I've had DirecTV since 1999 and always had the college gameplan package (which included most Tigervision games) until they created the SEC network that has since televised all SEC team's games.
I think it's safe to say that Kentucky game will go down in history as the last LSU football game only available on radio. Unless of course, it was on Tigervision in Louisiana. I just know that gameplan didn't have that game in 2008.

I lived in Laplace in the 80’s and 90’s. We had Riverlands Cablevision. I bought a descrambler from someone that did tv repairs. It had a set screw in it to tune in the Tigervision games. It worked pretty good. I was glad to have it. I paid about $20 for it. It wasn’t homemade. Just a nice little contraption. The games were shown on the cable network, but the video was scrambled.
