Does he have Ponansky call up Joe again for references on his coaching tree? Doesn’t he know he can’t live off of the “ Joe Brady offense” forever. It’s a reoccurring thing that Ed doesn’t think things through.

Yal gotta quit focusing on the coordinators, it’s Orgeron himself putting his thumb on their decisions that’s causing this. The offense is on its 2nd OC in 2 years and looks identical, the D is on its 3rd in 3 years and looks identical to last year and to the “experimental” games in 2019 where O admitted he added some of his concepts into the fold against Ole Miss and some of our other poor performances that season. Doesn’t matter who you hire when you have a incompetent and insecure control freak running the show.

I find it funny O used to be very adamant his buddy Ensminger was OC..then when the wheels fell off last year he wanted to start referring to getting back to Brady's offense

I don’t even think it’s that. At least not first and foremost. I think it’s just that O has no clue how to run a program. How to recruit the right positions at the right times. How to maintain a productive environment. How to ensure the progressive development of players. I could go on. That’s the main issue imo.

This was always going to be the problem with O's CEO philosophy of "hire the best assistant coaches" because he has no real expertise on either side of the ball.

If the coaches are good, they will be moving on for CFB head coaching jobs or NFL jobs in little time. Constant turnover means you have to constantly hit a home run on the new hires to maintain stability and he just hasn't been able to do that... in fact, he's not even hitting singles.

Basically this. Saban replaces coordinators every year and the offense still runs like a machine.

And he's won with some questionable hires on defense but that's okay because he is a defensive mastermind.

What you see on the field is a direct reflection of the coach in charge, which is why our players run around looking confused and unsure of themselves on every snap.

Agree, just break it down to the basics, we’re not physical, we don’t block or tackle properly, we don’t use proper leverage in coverage, we don’t execute any of the details well. That’s not a coordinator issue, that’s a HC/culture issue.

Did he think he'd hit joe Brady gold again with TWO new coordinators? You know how lucky it was to have Brady and burrow meet in the same place with Clyde and those receivers in 2019?

It's hitting the lottery twice.

We gonna run the USC offense, ok? It’s going to be dynamic when we’re running the Joe Brady offense. Have I mentioned yet how difficult it’s going to be for defenses to handle our Jake Peetz offense? If not I will just reiterate that we’re running a spread offense with RPO concepts.

It's sounds like the same because it's the same idiots making comments. Orgeron is not "putting his thumb" on the coordinators. And neither the offense nor the defense look like last year. Last year's defense was fairly stout against the run but was constantly gashed on the pass. Against UCLA they dominated us with their run game.

We looked a lot better on offense last year, especially since we were starting true freshmen QBs.

“Last year's defense was fairly stout against the run”

We have up 170 yards per game on the ground last season, the most since the Hallman years.

Hire a new OC and let’s start over again! Why not? It can’t get worse than Peetz!
