re: What upsets you most about LSU mens basketball?

I don’t know, I don’t get too upset. This will be the third year in a row we would make the NCAA tournament. When was the last time that happened? I’m enjoying the ride no matter what, pandemic and all LOL. If this team gives two shits they play extremely well. Let’s hope March madness lights that fire in their arse and makes it fun to watch.

Lack of discipline.

There’s plenty to choose from but #1 is this new defense he’s tried to install this year. A 1-3-1 style trap with very little trapping, the bigger players trying to stop penetration and our guards protecting the boxes. Teams can get any look they want if they’re patient enough. There’s no ball pressure when he goes into his 3/4 court and full court defenses either which makes no sense. We were never a great man to man defense under Wade but we’ve always had stoppers who can slow elite wings and we’ve always had enough size and length to challenge at the rim. So while we may not have been elite in staying connected or detail oriented, to a man we could compete athletically and overwhelm lesser teams. The floor was much higher and even this season our best sustained stretches on D have been in man. If he continues down this path we’ll continue to regress.

The team leaders can't forget their personal goals in key games and play as a team.
