On pace to have 7 rounds done in an hour & a half.

Cubs just selected Jake Slaughter.

paul pissed off the brewers and cubs somehow

Cubs just picked Slaughter. I think they picked him out of high school
ETA: They did.

They selected him out of high school as well.

Does everyone think Slaughter is gone? They took him pretty high.

Cubs REALLY wanted Slaughter !

Everyone on the rant will say he's gone. I don't think it's that simple.

I hope he's back. I think he's about to have a big year and would rather it be for LSU than the Cubs Low A team.
ETA: Plus, his high school teammate is coming in from JUCO.

His stock can't really fall further than what it was after this year.

I posted this in the other thread but I thought I was in this thread: Okay, fess up, who here predicted Slaughter would get drafted before either Watson or Hess?
Posted on 6/6/18 at 12:49 pm to Adam4848
I searched for his birthdate because I didnt think he was old enough to get drafted, but it shows Oct 1996. That would make him a 22 year old sophomore. Surely that isnt right...

If he’s unhappy, he will go. Which would reflect his maturity level letting your emotions keep you from making hundreds of thousands.

I would think if he works hard and Gibbs is a decent hitting coach he stands to make quite a bit more coming back

He'll be 22 in October. He's still 21.

I still didn't think he was that old. 20 yr old freshman? That's uncommon huh?

He's got a late birthday, which I think they enforce being held back/out the first year moreso than they used to, and he may have been held back an additional year for some other reason. That'll get you to 20 starting college.

Paul would rather Slaughter and Cabell on the team next year, but the position player dilemma is sorted out if both were to sign.
ETA: 1 spot for Reid or Doughty. Both would be in if Jordan retires.
Pitching staff is still a mess. Only removing Sanders and Bush, we still have 25 guys for 18 spots.
