I mean Joe Burrow is, thus far, on par with any NFL QB ever. It's not like he just woke up one day and was the best QB ever in college football.

Imagine that Ohio State had him for 4 years before he came to LSU.

Every time Joe Burrow steps on the field he's the best player on the field. How do you not notice that?

Haskins was a great college QB and Joe got hurt. It’s not like they had scrubs playing

Do you mean Scott Frost? I can understand why Ohio State didn’t work out but what the hell was Frost thinking?

I mean Haskins was a pretty good college qb, but man…. Urban was unable to see what he had in Joe? He’ll probably never admit it publicly, but that has to go down as one of Urban’s biggest regrets as a coach.

He redshirted his first year and was then behind 4th and 5th year senior JT Barrett. As to why Haskins was above Burrow after the spring idk. Also Scott Frost blew it.

Except…maybe it is?

The Joe Burrow movie starts with him taking that brutal hit during the UCF game, darkness.
his eyes pop open and we hear a voiceover.

“It was at that moment I decided to be the best college quarterback ever.”

Burrow was originally the #2 QB behind JT Barrett at tOSU. He broke his hand, allowing Haskins to take over and lead them to a come from behind victory against Michigan in Ann Arbor in 2017 after Barrett got injured. Because of that, Haskins was considered the heavy favorite to be named the starter in 2018 and Joe would’ve had to do something spectacular in the spring to overtake him. He didn’t, which led to his transfer, and the rest is history.

Joe had better comp % and yardage in the spring at OSU, but Haskins supposedly had more *upsides".

Joe got fricked by his OSU coaches, period.

Awful misconception, Haskins was a beast in HS and CFB.

It happens.

How did Tom Brady fall to the 6th round in the NFL draft?

How did Terrell Davis fall to the 6th round?

I could go on and on.

I hate Urban Meyer. But I’ll buy the idiot a beer if I ever meet him.

And I’ll laugh at him when I tell him why.

I thought Haskins arm strength was what tOSU coaches were drunk on.

Well he definitely wasn't in 2018, and he wouldn't have been at Ohio State either that year. This is incredibly revisionist.
