It's a sports message board, dude. I'm not under the illusion that anything posted on here has an impact. I'm giving my opinion on my favorite sports team. But hey, just keep hoping and praying that the shrimp boat captain will pull us through the storm with an OC who hasn't been an OC for 20 years.

promoting E is the only way to give a big payout to a loyal, good ole boy who needs to retire comfortably.

Not really an Ensminger fan, but I love watching the ninnies on here throw hissy fits especially watching them pine for Lane Kiffin who has helped to accelerate the destruction of programs that he has headed up.....or Kendal Briles who helped to facilitate a rape culture at Baylor or Hugh Freeze who is ethically compromised.....Love watching the melt against Alleva, who does need to be fired and I really like how the rantards excoriate F. King Alexander who stopped Alleva and LSU from making a bigger fool of themselves during the whole Miles thing in 2015

It's like watching 15 year old girls in a psychodrama

You love watching LSU fans express justified displeasure with an objectively bad hire? What a weird thing to enjoy

When he took over the offense right away looked like something totally different and light years better

Except 2015 scored 4.5 more ppg than 2016.

Recruiting as a position coach for a superfood coach above you is an easier sale.

We got SHUT out by Bama.

Also 2016 was a superior talented team to 2017 and the schedule was worse.

Lastly all he was doing was calling plays. We didn’t score enough versus Florida and shut out by Bama.. the only two real defenses he faced.

There is zero excitement. We need a cultural change at the QB position.

No...it's not that we were promised a big name hire, it's that Orgeron promised that he'd always go out and get the very best.

This.

Orgeron set this ridiculous standard, this promise that he was going to be able to attract the best coordinators in the country. Now it's the fans being unreasonable for holding him to his word?

To me, the main thing that isn't being talked about as to why this is a bad hire is the fact that we ALREADY have Ensminger on staff.

This is a chance for us to add a heavy hitter to our staff. This is a arms race, dont get it twisted.

We could add a recruiter, a qb coach, a play caller. But we promote within.

I have come to the conclusion that regardless who the next OC is, the assholes on here are going to whine about it. They hate CEO so much that anyone hired will be w/is approval, so let's all bitch about . The last managerial
staff turnover still pisses 'em off. It seems as though some of these people want CEO (& in turn the Tigers) to miserably fail, so they can say I told you so. I would imagine these people aren't much fun to be around . They'll have no say , so it's all BS anyway . It's kinda funny to just read the posts.

When an aTm or other program comes after our coaches, as fans we rationalize the situation with "we WANT to have other schools after our coaches; it means they have excelled at their job with us". In the past 10 years, how many schools have come after Ensgminger as an OC? as a TE coach?
What's the rationalization now?

He doesn't want the damn Job. This is being forced upon him and he cares about LSU so he's doing it against his will.

he has spent as much time coaching highschool than he has being an oc since 2009

Ensminger sure as shite is going to spread it out. He has no history of that in his crappy resume
I think the spread was still sort of in developmental phases at small schools when Steve was an OC.
IIRC he had a fair 400ypg season with aTm mid nineties.
