Unfortunately we already have too many designated jersey numbers. Just retire it. No bigger honor in my opinion.

Burrow broke just about every NCAA season record he could break. He owns most of the LSU records. He won every individual award he could win including becoming LSUs first Heisman winner in 60 years.

This board is obsessed with retiring numbers and I don't understand it. Joe will get all due honors at LSU without having the number 9 retired.

players need to make their own number special. That's the cool thing about numbers. #9 should be upstairs next to #20.
The #18 tradition is pretty neat, but im no sold on the #7 tradition. I guess if the players like it , keep it going though.

Retire for next season. Bring it back, and permanently retire in 2039.
