I think naming players that exceeded expectations would be easier at this point
Zy Alexander
Aaron Anderson
That's about all I got

This is what he is. He is a poor man's Jarrett Lee and he plays scared out of his mind.
he really does remind me of jarrett lee a LOT
throws off his back foot and drifts backwards. he'll make an NFL level amazing throw every now and then but then he'll make some of the worst throws we've seen at LSU in 10+ years

He’s better than Jarrett Lee ever was, so I would call him a rich man’s Jarrett Lee.
That’s still not very good though. Lee was terrible and played scared for 4 years at LSU. That QB play was tough to suffer through for 4 years from 2008-2011. Jordan Jefferson was awful as well.

Caden Durham
Braden Swinson
Whit Weeks
These 3 have exceeded expectations too.
The DTs have played better than I thought they would but aren't stars:
Gio Paez
Jahviar Suggs
Ahmad Breaux
The rest of the team has played below expectations for sure.

Dang Spears is a true freshman, can he get to yr 2 please?
He can still be a stud. I was saying I expected Stamps and Spears to be studs this year. Stamps and Spears could still develop and have very productive careers or seasons next year but I was expecting both to have a positive impact this year. Not anywhere in my post was I giving up on them or saying they busts. Just that I expected both to be studs. Jesus.

Jackson and chester probably biggest disappointments.
But stamps and entire OL not able to impose their will is also pretty bitter.

I know it’s early but the 2023 recruiting class looks to be really really bad, hoping a few can turn it around but over half the class isn’t even gonna be with the team come this spring. 11 of the 26 have already transferred out not counting Holly or a few that are sure to leave. I thought Toviano, both Jackson’s , Sampson would step up this year.

there are still a few guys from that 23 class in high on who are just behind good player (or are themselves just a good player)
Obviously Whit Weeks looks great. not every game but he’s basically the guy teams are scheming around now.
Womack has looked super explosive but Swinson is having a huge year.
Pimpton doesn’t get many opportunity with Taylor as our #1 TE and generally only bringing in 2 TE when we’re in short yardage situations.
I think Stamps will continue to improve. he isn’t a guy i wanted starting year 2 but I think hell round out to be a good CB in the end.
And then you have guys like Kaleb Jackson, Tyree Adams, kyle Parker who have shown moments and could be something.
thats not a terrible class.

Guess that’s why he’s a Lombardi finalist and an Outland semi-finalist; because he sucks has regressed so bad…

Nuss- Jamie Howard 2.0
Jackson- abs don’t equal vision.
Womack- donde esta?
Entire secondary improving, sans Zy- worst safeties in lsu history. Corners with poor angles on runs and no ball skills on passes. Band should play “total eclipse of the heart” when we’re on D: “TURN AROUND, BRIGHT EYES!”
Entire interior O line even before Dellinger’s injury- even Curley’s teams had dawgs like Mawae.
Linebackers- Swinson is aight. perk was meh and the others are vandy/kentucky/miss st level. Poor angles, not physical. Road graded out of plays on many occasions.
Special teams- something that should be solid in year 3. Punters and kickers generally should not be mentioned. Not like we lose punters to the portal.
Ummm, Brian Kelly ?

Durham came in ready to play. I didn't think he'd have to be our lead back behind a ahitty line
