Does it send any type of negative message to the team if Les starts Jennings?

That fans are not the coach

It will likely mean different things to different players. All saw yesterday the stark contrast between the offensive performance when each man was at QB. Not starting Harris suggests that to CLM this did not matter.

Miles thinks he's better...

Simple answer. All 5 star recruits will say why go to lsu to sit behind an unproven 3 star. Not saying that the star rating is accurate but perception is everything.

"I had the team vote on the starting quarterback, and they voted for Jennings"

Haha....would be pretty bad if he knew he were going to Michigan, and decided to play Jennings exclusively for the rest of the year in hopes of really starting the decline so that he wouldn't have to worry about LSU as a threat in the future...
I kid....

Since they've met exactly 0 times so far, I doubt that would factor into it.

It says "I'm deliberately trying to lose"

Relax man, I was kidding. I was also thinking a little bit more big picture than you assuming les was wanting to win a NC, and wrecking LSU would mean one less SEC team to worry about....again, just kidding.

That Les Miles is secretly an Alabama fan!

Players more than anybody want a Meritocracy. Anything that diminishes the concept of the best man for the job is a disservice to the whole team, and really to the concept of high-level competition. It undermines team morale, and kills incentive.

One step closer to "Harris Lee"

It does NOT mean anything except the coaches know these kids better than any TD poster!
Harris will come in but it may not be the right time to start in Auburn... we will see Harris possibly the first, maybe the third drive but definately sooner than later.
I think Harris has proven to be the guy but we are all arm chair quarterbacks... right.
