I'm really not understanding how some of the people who were rooting for Napier and Kiffin saying "but think of what they would do with LSUs talent" are now mad at this hire. I understand he's quite a bit older but frick it give me the guy that has proven that he can win

How do the kids that make LSU relate to him? We have to beat Alabamas

There is a reason that Scott Woodward is the athletic director and the people here aren't. We were ready to hire Riley. We were actively pulling for him to lose yet another game he shouldn't have lost in order to get him here faster.

We have more than our share of really stupid fans who are threatened by someone who isn't their same good ole' boy selves, who is intelligent and intelligible, and will bring sorely needed discipline to our program- on and off the field. He's also Irish Catholic and prolly gets our culture better than most. Great hire for us. Also has 4th best signing class- hope they come with!
