What is the reason the LSU Student Union is now closed on gameday?

Came back for first game since 2019 and see it’s closed now on GameDay. Really pissed me off.

Probably way too many people and too little staff to work. Plus I can imagine the big mess that is made but damnit I miss those bathrooms more than anything

Every other SEC school I’ve been to for away games has the Union open. It’s a good place to go when you’re hanging out on campus all day.

someone in the law school basement was stabbed like ten years ago during gameday, among other things.

That's too bad.
They used to have a solid breakfast buffet on gamedays, and from what I remember, it was mostly families with kids there.

Did you check out the PMAC? They have a game on the big screen. Then after the band comes down the hill they perform for 30 minutes in there. Wasn't to bad at all, just doesn't have all the food the Union had.

The Student Union needs to bring back back Swenson's Ice Creamery, NBA Jam with Grandmama Larry Johnson & Kendall Gill, Asteroids, Missile Command, and Tetris too.
