I am a huge LSU fan but if I had my choice between Austin and Baton Rouge to live in, Austin wins hands down

Caddo Lake/Marshall area because it is essentially Louisiana with no income tax.

No doubt Baton Rouge sucks...but there ain't no way I'd live in New San Francisco.
