Born in Louisiana and grew up football-obsessed. My dad played for USL and the whole family—Grandad especially—rooted for LSU on Saturdays. It felt like a state-pride thing since the other teams were always from out-of-state.
Really picked up steam when I joined the military and began moving all over. Then LSU football was a link to Louisiana that I shared with other fans.
