4 losses, maybe 5. Just put the kids in position to win. Something Miles failed at.

We've lost a ton to really expect a banner season.

Dude, it's Tennessee. Not Lambeau Field.

Truth. Could we win 10 games? Yeah, it's possible, but I don't think it should be expected.

9 if one of the wins is Florida or Bama. Above 10 he has done well. Next year 10 to more is the limit

Do you seriously see Ed O doing something Miles could not do.

No. But we also didn't make this hire.

I'll also be the first to congratulate him on 10 wins and admit I was wrong if the passing game comes to life.

10-2 or better is a good to great season.
8-4 or worse is a failure and should be strike one.
The view of 9-3 depends on how the season unfolds and how we got there.

It's a rebuilding year and we play 5 SEC road games. Our cross division teams are Florida and Tennessee.

What?

Where are we rebuilding at? The HC at LSU doesnt get a rebuilding year pass. At least, the last guy didnt.
The new coach has a stacked team and a returning capable QB along with 2 top coordinators. He and the new guy at Oklahoma have both been handed 2 of the best gigs in recent memory. I wonder what the expectation for the guy at Oklahoma is? You can bet its not 8 wins.

I keep hearing this and its bullshite. You act like Knoxville in November is freaking Siberia. The average high is 59 and low is 38 for that date. If that is a factor in the game then LSU has bigger problems.

9-3 and you won't hear much bitching

I see this team going anywhere from 6-6 to 10-2.

Les Miles fielded the only run heavy team that also sucked when it was cold. I'll never fricking understand that. If it is cold, Guice should kick their fricking teeth in.

I think the truth is that we hired a coach that lowers people's expectations of the program. That's a dangerous game we're playing and if O doesn't jump out of the box and produce, we may find ourselves in a Tennessee-type of situation where our best days are found in yesteryear.

This!

Orgeron needs to win at least 10 games going into the Bowl game. Not 9-3 and a 5-3 SEC record with the chance to win the 10th in some irrelevant Bowl game.

Sure we lost a lot. But that was off a team that returned a ton. Had LSU lost the usual guys to the NFL the year before we would be sitting here talking about a historic amount of returning talent.

At every single position group we have veteran front line talent returning. That is a very rare situation. And our depth is very good except at inside linebacker.

I expect a very close game in Tuscaloosa to decide the West, and I expect a one loss regular season. I can grudgingly accept a two loss regular season if they are both respectable and we win the bowl game.

Who is pushing this narrative that Les Miles was ultimately fired due to his record? Do people actually believe this.

You can say it was because of the problems on offense, but ultimately, those problems adversely affected the record. So you can look at the symptom or the effect of the symptom, either would be technically correct.

It was part of the result of the team under performing because of the offense. Not to mention that Miles lied to Aleva.

He has 2 of the best coordinators currently in the game... he needs to recruit, motivate, work with the D-line, review game plans for obvious flaws, and stay away... other than that, be the face of the program

Let Dave and Matt do their jobs... we will be just fine

The first series of the Wisconsin game was the greatest hits album of Les Miles' problems. That was basically a frick you to the administration.

You do realize that Miles had a far better record than Ed O as a head coach when he was hired. You do realize, Miles has the highest winning percentage as a LSU head coach, has as many National Championship, BCS/Playoff bowl wins, Conference championships than any other coach in school history. That includes Nick Saban.

Hi, Les. Remember meeting me and signing my cap at the LSU/SC baseball game 2 years ago?
