Even when they scored on our defense in the 2nd half, our offense matched them and they couldn’t stop us in those 4th quarter drives..

Nice feeling

Yep, everybody acts like Bama had the opportunity to beat us and we got lucky that Tua wasn't 100%.

It definitely helped that he wasn't, but they never had the ball in the 2nd half with an opportunity to take the lead. They made the final score closer with the fluke bomb in the final minutes, but we took a knee to end the game. It wasn't as close as people try to make it.

Outside of the FIRST DRIVE (Tua fumble) Bama never had possession of the football with an opportunity to take the lead.

Plus they never had possession of the ball with a chance to take the lead.

...was the will and determination of Clyde Edwards Helaire. The smallest guy on the field out-physicaled everyone else out there. He kicked arse.

everything i read or heard over the airwaves stated he was 100%.

it's possible we the people were lied to. but i'll allow that because of who was doing the lying.

I thought those last 2 TD drives in Tuscaloosa was when Burrow won the Heisman.

Totally agree BUT... I’m damn glad Justin Jefferson fielded that onside kick at the end !!!!!

What impressed me most after rewatching the game was Clyde. He could have been the mvp of the game. I was so locked in on Burrow during the game that I missed Clyde having his best game. Complete domination! Najee was also a beast in the second half but it was running and catching the ball in critical situations that I missed the first time.

It's not what impressed me the most, but taking a knee with over a minute on the clock was highly enjoyable!

CEH would not be denied. He made critical plays, especially after contact, to get 1st downs and keep drives alive. He has the Heart of a Tiger!

Bama deserves credit, don't get me wrong. And if CEH doesn't make that remarkable play to pick up that first down on 3rd & 10 when ALL of the momentum seemed to be in their favor, who knows what would have happened. LSU's defense was getting gashed the entire second half.

That said, two of their scoring plays were almost flukey in nature. (1) If McMath doesn't have such an egregious facemask on the punt return Waddle likely doesn't take it for a TD. The facemask spun Waddle back so far that it took him out of LSU's contain and (2) the play where Smith beat Stingley deep because of the look to the sideline right before the snap.

It felt like the entire game LSU's offense was operating at machine like precision, while Bama was just desperately trying to hang around (which they did)

too be fair, none of our games were that close with Bama since 2014. 2011 2012 2014 still haunt me.

those 4th quarter drives..
The 2nd of the 2 4th quarter scoring drives started with truly one of the most beautiful play calls I've ever seen: the fake QB draw where Joe Burrow hit Ja'Marr for 30 yards over the middle. That was truly deflating for that home crowd.

You can say "LSU kneed it at the end, it wasn't that close"...but that ignores the fact that it took an onside kick recovery by LSU to basically seal it. My heart was in my throat - and if you go back and watch the replay, so was Justin Jefferson's. He made an absolutely beautiful, sky-high recovery of that kick. And you did NOT see him celebrating or even smiling as his teammates surrounded him to congratulate him. I don't think he took a regular breath for 5 minutes after that.

I was there, and I agree. Those two 4th quarter 75 yard touchdown drives with Denny stadium in pandemonium with their rally won Burrow the Heisman just as Billy Cannon’s 4th quarter play with 11 min to go won the Ole Miss game and the Heisman. In each game, when LSU had to have it, those two players made the play and won the trophy.

This play is right up there with 3rd and 17 against Texas for play of the year with me.

That was the best individual performance by a running back that I've ever seen. He made Trevon Diggs look like absolute garbage all day long. I almost felt bad for the guy.
