Why wouldn't he want to model every future offense on the 2019 offense, which was the best ever in the history of college football? Would you you prefer he seek to model every future offense on the Les Mile's offenses instead?

Better than him saying for three years that he wants the USC offense from 2004

Makes me really think he thinks he got extremely lucky in 19 and is trying to duplicate it.
If he really liked that offense because it was really good

what I have never understood, and never will...is why would we abandon the best offense in college football history? Why would any coach do such a thing? Don't change until they show they can stop it...right?
This just makes me believe even more than I did at the time, that Brady was the brains, and Ensminger really never grasped it like was advertised. If he did, we wouldn't have change a thing.
It appears under Brady, that no one could stop us, even if they knew what was coming. That is what was so exciting about that offense.
Still baffled!

It was ALL Brady. Don’t kid yourself. It’s too obvious now.

That all sounds great, but when Brennan got hurt the offensive plans had to change dramatically. The o line had trouble all season, there was no consistent run game, guys were opting out, and we had to play 2 true freshman QB’s against an SEC only schedule. Not a lot could go right under those circumstances.

quote:Both Peetz and Mangas worked with Brady at Carolina last season and Mangas was on the 2019 LSU staff with Brady.
“Orgeron said on Off the Bench Tuesday that the Tigers are implementing Joe Brady's offense "to a T" and that the players couldn't be more excited.”
Yall really don't think that Offense can't be closely duplicated here and now?
Maximus is a younger Joe Burrow, just with less experience. The 2021 Offense should flourish with him in there running it.
Brennan is a better fit for the 2020 Ensminger-Linehan Offense. (Apparently, neither E or L had a clue how to run the 2019 Brady Offense)
Many of us are still scratching our heads as to why Orgeron didn't keep Munoz and Mangas around last season to keep it going.

How the hell did you just set your self up like that? Posters in this thread have thrown out hint after hint, and you just walked right into it

We gon be betta on defense than we was under that loser Aranda. Bo got us ready

run "Joe Brady's Offense"
These are things Ed has consistently said. Hard not to argue that Ed doesnt know what he wabts, just that hes seen winning, and wants people he hires to just go out and replicate it.
Posters here are very informed, and have been paying close attention, and they threw out enough hints for you to have quickly informed yourself, too

Yeah, that is especially evident after the team didn't have time to prepare, let alone to adequately practice for the season due to the Covid Pandemic.

O isn’t very articulate, but this is football. I don’t care how you talk. Just win games.

He did not hit the lottery with just Burrow and Brady, our 4 receivers (2) in NFL. RB in NFL offensive line. Eat we have had, and we had several Safety and DB’s most of which are now in NFL or here shortly. Lightning doesn’t strike twice very often, that team will likely never be replaced. We had talent and the team was close due to Burrow’s leadership. We can hope for something close to 2019 team, but many of us will never live to see a team like that. I truly was never afraid of loosing one game that year except Auburn came too close. Our offense once going except for few exception could score at will. With Burrow’s accuracy and ability to be a magician when chased out of pocket and those fantastic receivers and lineman we LSU had the Team of the Century. Who in past decade has looked that good as our 2019 team. I could see actual fear in the face of opposing coaches faces when they were interviewed on how they were going to stop LSU. Kirby Smart’s interview stands out the most. He knew his # 1 defense had no chance against Burrow and the rest of the team in 2019. It was a dream season for us all. Even Saban knew he was going to get beat by us. The Bama fans knew it. We were unstoppable. I wish lightening would strike again at LSU like that but I doubt it would ever have the perfect pieces we had as players and the leadership our great QB gave the team.

Nothing wrong with setting high expectations/goals.

It does sound like he's got no clue what he's talking about. Like he can't articulate what we're trying to achieve without just saying "Joe Brady" or "Joe Burrow"
