"Read and react..."whose read: the DC's reading opposing personnel? Or the player reading the offensive set/playcall? Both? (yes)...so how to distinguish responsibility for a given series and for a given play? (That's my point). Miles take is wise: we lose as a team...coaches, players, and live Tiger...and fans...

its still on the staffs shoulders to make it work....it is on the teams...It has not yet been established that the game plan sucked. That's what Im question-- not whether staff is responisble for a loss to a team as good as Florida. Miles' remarks allowed for some bad calls...but not for bad play calling in general...

There is a plan for bamascoop some poop. But it ain't wearing black shirts. The team will wear ULM helmets--one of the many teams little nicky has lost to in his career. Or maybe for the bama faithful, we'll wear UAB jersey's.

The real truth is no one on this board is coming out and saying it?
The coaches didn't discipline the team the night before the game! Yes, the went out and partied very harty in Gainsville and the players look like they were still playing in sand, foot speed wise, They gave them enough rope to hand themselves, they put 'trust' in the KIDS and the KIDS wern't men the night before the game! The players got their discipline by getting hammered with a reality check by the coaching staff. L.M. would never let you in on the a** chewing they got on the flight back home.
You gotta go to the barber shop where TAFF members go on a regular basis to get this kind of information! :beatdeadhorse: So stop all the quibbling A.C.Q.B. wannabe coaches?

i'm supposed to believe this story from a guy who can't spell TAF correctly? How exactly did you attain this info?

I've heard some excuses in my day, but that one ranks very high on the list.
Had I heard that first hand, I would have laughed out loud in his face.
You should be embarrassed for even repeating it.

What Miles said about our D was disappointing. I’d be surprised if he talked freely but excusing the lack of aggression on D because we could never get them in ‘down-n-distance’ just doesn’t sound right. Makes me want to ask ‘well why couldn’t we get them in down-n-distance?’ Sounds like LM thinks our D has been great over the last three years. It hasn’t. Pelini’s D were typically underachievers.

Fellow ranters,
I have been following the conversation about the Florida loss and I know we all have been disecting this game for sometime now. Many of ya'll made some great points and possible suggestions about the outcome of the game. However, I have to say that our tigers lost that game as a team. Some blame the offense while others blame the defense. Of course, the opening drive did not help matters when the tip ball occured. Furthermore, it does not help the defense when the offense goes 3 and out. I thought the defense did good at times only allowing a few field goals, but if the offense isn't moving the chains it could pose a huge problem endurance wise. The point that I would like to make, if I may, is that one person can make a mistake and we can recover. However, if everyone makes a mistake it makes it hard as the case in the 17-0 score to get back into the game. We did eventually get back into the mix only to find ourselves behind again. This game can be summed up in the case that Florida played damn near a perfect game with little mistakes and LSU made every mistake possible. However, let me remind the "true tigerfans." When LSU plays their best football against other teams best, it is almost impossible to beat us. Let's go Tigers!

Well, maybe our players are as not as awesome (talent) as we have led ourselves to believe.
I don't see a dominate DL line. Deep yes, but they don't dominate like the #1 rated hype machine should. We never can pressure the QB? Why? Good against the run usually, but no pressure on QB. This was an issue last year as well. Are we lacking stunts and creating advantages?
Our LB positions have not been all NFL caliber, so this is a huge weakness.
The most talent ironically is in the backfield, but it is simply too young, and too many mental mistakes are being made..
The Term Play fast comes to mind... If a player is thinking more than just feeling the flow of the game, then well, it takes away their athleticism.
We need another HC caliber DC! Then we are back on track.. The Co thing is questionable, to this point...

That is incorrect. The 70-yard TD pass was a fortunate bounce ... and I know you're one that wants LSU to blitz more, so it must be pointed out that that play went for a TD BECAUSE we blitzed.
According to reports in the Media, that play went for a TD because Taylor was out of position.

from what Miles has been saying tonight, it sounds like our D won't be aggressive or blitz unless we get the opponent in 2nd or 3rd and longs. He said the down and distance wasn't right to make a high risk call
i have been saying this all week long and got bashed to hell.
