Stadium expansion.
Hiring of Manieri and Johnny Jones.
There is other stuff, I know. Just wanting to get a list going.
Thoughts?
[EDIT: I was wrong on the Manieri hire. That was Skip. Nevermind. Geesh.]

Fought and failed!!! Alleva big contribution is the expansion of Tiger Stadium....but no matter who the AD was, it was going to happen anyway. So really, Alleva has not done shite!

Basketball practice facility, new track surface, soccer facility renovations, university golf club renovations.
In the works: New gymnastics and tennis facilities and a sports nutrition facility.
ETA: not to mention giving Les all the money he wants for assistants.

All things that were going to happen no matter who the AD was.

Can't even count jones for him. He fought for "his guy" Trent Johnson. Jones was a hire by dale and collis temple.

Then why hadn't they happened already?

How did he fight for Trent Johnson? In his press conference after Trent left he basically said it was best for all parties involved.
And regardless of outside influences, the hire was Alleva's to make so yes he does get credit for hiring Johnny Jones lol

Stadium expansion.
-Field House renovation including locker rooms
-Alex Box Stadium expanded by adding eight suites
-Indoor Tennis Center (coming)
-Gymnastic Practice Facility (in work)
-Soccer Stadium upgrade
-Tiger Park upgrade
-Nutrition Center (coming)
-New home and visitor's locker rooms in Tiger Stadium
Basically, he's been great at renovating/adding facilities. We've never been in better shape as far as overall facilities than we are now.
As far as hiring coaches, it's still wait and see.

The first go round Dale and Collis campaigned for him but joe who had been in louisiana a month though he knew better coming from duke and hired a guy who spent his entire career in the west coming from Stanford carried by two lotto picks from palo alto to be a fit in louisiana.
Smart move.

Caldwell and Torina seem to be doing pretty well. Outside of that Trent Johnson and Johnny Jones are his only big hires. One was bad, the other has shown promise to turn things around.

Most sports revenue in school history.

So hiring the Coach of the Year in the Pac 12, traditionally a better overall basketball conference than the SEC, was a bad move? In hindsight, yes, but that's because none of us are confused with Nostradamus.
To his credit, Alleva then hired the guy he should have hired in the first place. You can't deny him credit for making the hire.

Well, Bertman installed old bleacher seats in our brand new baseball stadium and absolutely butchered the west side expansion so yeah I guess so
