We usually don’t rebuild, we reload. A lot of our perennially good teams are having down years this year.

It probably doesn’t help Texas now has beach volleyball. I would imagine they’re a huge draw for the same talent-especially considering how great they are at indoor volleyball

While a lot of people here guffawed and said Texas “will find out how hard the SEC is,” face it. They’ve come into the SEC and if they have not dominated across all sports, they have come pretty damn close. They are definitely the best overall athletic program in the SEC.

2024: Rowing and women’s tennis natty
2023: Volleyball and women’s track natty
Women’s basketball just won the SEC, baseball is top 4 in pretty much every poll, and football is a year removed from taking the CFP semifinal down to the wire. Texas is back.

Allowing Texas to join the SEC meant the recruiting disadvantage they had with A&M and the rest of the SEC went away. This was inevitable.

Russel Brock took a big step back this season from his standards. Like JJ he gets a mulligan for this awful performance but changes need to be made for 27 or his job is on the line.

Yeah that screams complete domination of the SEC. Not sure why anybody else even plays. Clearly its just Texas in all sports, and then everybody else.
