What happened between O and Jacques Doucet?

Keep seeing references to some sort of incident but I have no idea what happened.

All these local media guys are LSU fans at heart
When things go good they sing their praises
When things go bad they act like they have all the answers yet not a single one of them would make it a year in the coaching profession themselves

It's not their job to be a successful football coach. Their job is to ask the coach why his methods aren't successful when they are failing.

It's a tough situation to be in and no one wants to talk about their job security when things are going south, but it didn't sound like it was asked with malice. When you're getting paid 7-8 million per year, you're going to get these questions when things go south. All he had to say is that he felt that he already answered that and asked for the next question.

This is why I disagreed. The reporter knew this had been covered and pushed the subject. That was disrespectful and with purpose imo.

All Doucet asked was basically "how are you holding up?".
Doucet was polite. If I were him I would have said "You are one of the highest paid coaches in the country coaching at one of the best programs in the country, your team is two years removed from a national title and now unranked and going through the worst 16 game stretch since the 90s and my job is to report on this - your're damn right I want a quote".

At one point O was asked about his job status and if he discussed it with the team. Here is is response:
A short time later Doucet opened with a question about the transfer portal which O answered and then he followed up by asking how he was personally dealing with his job status and O cut him off right away.
O thought he answered the question previously and Doucet was trying to elicit a different sensationalist response. Whether Doucet intended to do this, it was a reasonable interpretation.
