Is Coach 0 gonna carry Jacques Doucet to his fishing hole?

Just remember 2019 holding up championship. Dan Mullen 4-2 and J. Fisher 3-2 just chill out

IF he truly understood he would resign immediately but the narcissism is stronger than the understanding.

O looked like an arse getting all "tough" with Doucet. I've never seen a coach succeed at turning a majority of the fan base against him in such short order. O really is a dumbass

Coach O made his bed when he hired two coordinators who have never called plays before... I do not care who you know, or what coaching tree you come from, no coach should be taking their first stab at calling plays in the SEC. Period. They may go on to be incredible play callers for someone else, but let them learn and work out the kinks elsewhere... aint nobody got time for that at LSU. And before you forget, Brady was the passing game coordinator, he had Ensminger to reel him in when necessary.

Coach O admittedly changed his style when he left Ole Miss to now let his coaches coach with less involvement from him. Like many aspects of human behavior, he might have swung too far in the opposited direction; especially considering the personnel.

Some of the cons make good points. But let's not forget Coach O's assests; excellent recruiter, excellent motivator, relates to the players, hard working and bleeds purple and gold. If LSU changes regimes, what does the win/loss record look like the next 2-3 years? Perennial mediocre programs seems to make coaching changes every 4 years, or so. Take a moment to think how the Ole Miss fans processed the 2019 season. I would have loved to have played for Coach O regardless how this season plays out.

I keep checking in here to see if he’s been canned yet.

He’s mad at Jacques for posting the video instead of at himself for saying that shit?

The media can make or break you. Sometimes it isn't fair though.

les miles has lost control of this team.

Les Miles is like Dust In the Wind. He's gone and has been gone. No need to bring him up.

Cajun, I'm sorry, but I think you are missing the joke...

Coaches should be allowed a couple of bad seasons here and there if they have delivered conference and National titles in the past few years. This perfection standard is ridiculous.

not without the abrupt decline in on the field performance and terrible hires over the last two years.

By my count you can only challenge up one definitely bad hire since 2019...bo. The jury is still out on the guys at the helm now, next season will be the one we judge them by. You can't have your coaching staff completely ripped apart the way it has been the last 2 years, the team ripped apart by guys going pro, opting out, getting hurt, and be expected to not have a drop off. O has done enough to earn enough of a leash and a chance to fix this. Try to salvage what you can of this year, end on a high note with a little momentum into next year...but by God next year better be much improved or he will be gone.

He’s 8-8 since the championship. Hardly perfection standards. How about we just shoot for let’s be ok standards. Do the perfection standards include interviewing your potential coordinator candidates? To me those are meeting “basic” expectations.

The man brought LSU a Championship and possibly College Football's greatest team ever.

So let’s continue to lose to Kentucky by three touchdowns every year because of one great season. Cool.

You don’t see that something is very wrong with the LSU football program currently?

How do you know that Kentucky isn't seriously the best team in the East this year?

When you are paid $8.9 million to coach, results are expected and kind of demanded. Too much money for that show!

At Least he knows the LSU standards on Winning. HE could and will be responsible for the worst two Seasons in a row at LSU in over 20 years. Hope he remembers that win the buyout is discussed. Nobody to blame but himself. It also looks like the players are losing faith in the staff he assembled.

I like coach O, always have since o first met him while he was at Ole Miss. Nice and genuine guy. I became troubled the moment he said he never interviewed Bo Pelini. LSU is a quality program and should be treated as such by every coach, player, fan, etc. When you start getting away from that for whatever reason, you begin to send the program into a nosedive. I don’t like Alabama, but they are a quality program and I can think of only two coaches who have treated bama like a quality program- Bryant and Saban. When O was hired I said he would treat the program like it deserved and I was wrong. Success has gone to his head and I don’t think he can recover what he’s lost. Whether it’s during the season or after, it’s time to move on and hire someone who will treat LSU like a precious treasure.

I like him to. I like winning more.

Some of the LSU fans that want to fire O are stupid A-HOLES! They are parroting the radio and tv talking heads. Too many injuries and cry baby transfers!
Reply7 days
Injuries and transfers are not what get you to this point, and setting higher expectations for a nationally renowned football program does not make someone an a-hole. Take this subjective and biased crap somewhere else. If you look at this for what it is then O should be fired post haste.
7 days
Every school has injuries and transfers. The good ones have recruited, trained and gameplanned well enough to stay relevant despite that.

Do you live in an alternate universe? Do you watch LSU play? Have you seen the dysfunction the last 2 years?

Well you need to blink coach. Your eyes are dry and need to be refocused

Name another team that has lost it best QB, best WR, best OL, best (experienced) RB, best DB and is winning. I’ll hang up and listen. Say what you want to about O, but nobody is as snakebit as LSU has been since 2019. Is it conditioning? Is it bad luck? Is it compliance? Or all of the above. Things are not as bad as many make it out to be. Recruiting is phenomenal. The jury is out on the coordinators and position coaches, but we aren’t playing with a complete team right now.
