Sat in right field bleachers today.

GREAT VIEW.

SMALLEST LEG ROOM I’ve experienced in the box. Not comfortable

Lots of factors, obviously, but Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Arkansas don't seem to have trouble filling seats.
I'm pretty sure I saw empty seats at Baum and Dudy. But, Arky is #4 in the nation and MSU just won a natty. Goes back to winning. My post stands.

Basketball and football don’t have near the problem baseball has. Paul let it die and was not removed soon enough. Short of winning it all very soon Baseball is done for.

Baseball
-win

Football
-more available free parking in good tailgating spots. That’s part of the reason we stopped going as much. Not much fun when you have to tailgate over a mile away from the stadium

I used to attend one of the consistently biggest tailgate parties at the Box every weekend every season up until around 2014-2015. We had a good group, always had good food and drink and great camaraderie. It was a social event you looked forward to all week.

But after 2014-15, it slowly started dwindling down until it just no longer exists. That’s a lack of enthusiasm for the program that was directly attributable to Paul.

I have been to about 50% of the home games this baseball season (all to which I had tickets). We have not had anywhere near a packed house at any of them. Its been that way since I returned to BR in the 2014 season except maybe some NCAA Ty games (some and not all).

Apparently people buy season tickets but do not come to even perfect weather Fri-Sat SEC games.

Winning. At the least good pitching and pace of play.

The park is outdated and frankly just boring. Still having metal bleachers is laughable. Concessions just plain suck. And throw this team in on top of that and who would want to go sit in 90+ heat??

Yes, winning is always important. That's a given. It's why Vanderbilt doesn't draw in football.

It just isn't the full explanation. You'll see empty seats at any college baseball stadium, but those programs mentioned don't have nearly the empty seats LSU does.

Ole Miss has been to one World Series in the last 40 years or so, but they draw better than LSU and have a vastly superior atmosphere. Arkansas and State have had better atmospheres than LSU for the last decade.

Of course winning is important, which is why that's exactly what I said in my previous post. It just isn't the only thing.

Plus Jay drags out just bout every game to a craw and in this 90 degree heat, people aren’t going to come out to watch that. I guess he learned that in the PAC 12 and that brand of baseball will not work in the SEC. Speed up the game and make it more exciting to watch. Stop bitching about every other play.

This doesn’t impact ole miss, Mississippi state, or Arkansas. Those schools have amazing atmospheres for games. LSU has a mediocre product on the field and the viewing experience is awful.

The team has to do their part, but LSU dropped the ball on Alex box.

We’ll then we’ve got a big problem because this weekend we played as bad and as uninspired as we ever did with Paul.
